Similar to the "allow inspect button" that is interchangeable, a button should be made available that shows a different experienced/battle torn skin to a visible item(helm, armor, shield, weapons, costumes, etc.) of choice.
Based on the Veteran Prestige Badges, it unlocks for a higher class of item(For example, 5k prestige unlocks this feature for 0* and 1* items, 10k for 2*, 15k for 3*, 25k for 4*, and 45k for 5*/costumes.)
This feature doesn't change anything about the item other than appearance, and gives reason to strive to achieve the prestige badges other than meager bragging-rights without making it unfair for newer players.
Another option is to simply give every visible item a timer that after it's been either used enough times, or bound long enough(maybe determined by class of item) that it can access this reversible feature. A separate bar that fills up alongside heat based on level completed, monsters beaten, class of item could also determine if an item has reached "experienced" for this.
I realize that this would require a massive overhaul and most likely trickle-additions to this feature after initial patch to create unique skins for ALL THE THINGS, but we really do need to give at bit more probable cause to gain prestige badges other than, "Hey bro, check out my horse badge, only took me 3-4 months of solid prestige grinding to get it. Totally worth it."
Opinions? Thoughts?
