Old "Join party" options

I remember for a while, if you wanted to join a party, there was a checklist instead of 3 options (Normal, advanced, elite).
The checklist allowed you to choose party difficulties with a little more freedom. you could check multiple difficulties so you could find parties quicker.
I could check advanced and elite if i dont want to do normal.

Or you could check "join any party" without having to scroll though all three and pressing join each time. It may seem redundant, or just plain lazy, but there are times when a split second could be the difference between being in a party and waiting a week for someone to finally play Operation Crimson Hammer.

If for some reason the checklist was causing bugs, like joining two parties on different difficulties at the same time, then i could see why it was removed. But i don't think it being removed was in any patch notes. why was it removed?

Edit: Oh yeah, my suggestion would be to have the checklist back instead of the 3-optioned cycle.

What about the party finder?

What about the party finder?

The party finder only shows arcade parties + ones for missions that apply to you. This means that if I want to find a jelly kingdom party, I have to find it via the join system and cannot use the party finder. This suggestion would allow us to join any jelly kingdom party without having to go try on every difficulty once.

Seeing as to that they could probably just copypasta the old code back in, there really isn't much reason to not do this.

You are experiencing a PICNIC ERROR!

Preferably, you would be able to see all parties through the Party Finder. Like this, they could add filters for tiers, difficulties, and Arcade/Missions. (To be precise, either show parties from Arcade or from Missions.)

I understand the suggestion, but i think it's either one or the other. If you try to join both you might create a more complicated thing.

I like the current one. I'll try elite. If there is none, then i'll try advanced.

If there were check boxes i would have to mark elite, then try to join. Then uncheck elite, check advanced, then join. That is more complicated. And if you think it's not much more complicated, neither is the current version, compared to the old one.

What about this:

In the "create party" and "play solo", you would have only the three current options available. But in the "join party" you would have four options, being "normal", "advanced", "elite", and "join any".

I would actually like to see

I would actually like to see filters in party finders, along with the return of the checklist. ^ also, while the checklist took around 3 more seconds to use, it really was easier to find parties for missions you've already beaten.

If i wanted to fight RJP 24/7 nonstop, i could just check join elite once and play till i die, while party finder wouldn't even suggest it.

The best way for a join party system to function is to allow its user to select the difficulties they wish to join, and then scan through those difficulties to find the most immediately available party. The current system allows only a single difficulty to be selected, and a "Join Any" option wouldn't allow you to be specific with your allowed choices.

Take your situation: I'll try elite. If there is none, then i'll try advanced.

In the current system, you have to select Elite and try. If it fails, change to Advanced and try again.
Imagine if you had a checklist, which allowed you to select Elite and Advanced, and not Normal. When you try, it looks for Elite parties, and then Advanced automatically if no Elite one was found.

That would mean one less click for you. It's not a big difference, but it is important in UI design.

So, I'd suggest the checklist, but add a master checkbox which (de)selects all of them - so if you don't care about difficulty, it's still only one click to select.
