We, knights, should be able to swim in water and fight underwater monsters! ;D
Deadly-Panda founded the idea.

i like it, like it

This sounds like a good idea and I get two essencial different ideas out of it:

1) Fighting with feet in clear water: It is actually only a visual thing, but it will definitely have a great look and allows some really interesting landscapes if you have parts of the levels that are watered. The depth of this water would be 1 block high or less. (I am thinking about an Aurora Level with jellies and chroma breeding places around a lake :3)

2) Completely Underwater-Level. Well this is actually a thing that is harder to code if you ant to make it realistical: You can easily give the whole level a blue overlay and add rising bubbles everywhere to give the impression of beeing underwater. Since levels are in a Ball-type object it is also physical logical that these levels can exist in Spiral-logic.

But fighting underwater is a bit different. You would be constantly slowed down because of higher resistance than in air. It will allow Fish-type enemies who will be significantly faster than knights, so a rush-through a level is contraproductive. Since Knights seem to be more like robots than humans, they probably would not require an air tank.

I would totally agree for both variants since I really love water <3

yeah, i could see the first variant actually being done, which would be nice. potentially gives some extra variation to levels, even if just aesthetically

some how i doubt that true swimming or even full underwater levels would be included, though they would be really cool especially if they slowed everything down, knights, non-water specific monsters, probably projectiles as well, though that would be more difficult, as you suggested

i wouldnt mind having underwater levels that quite literally just applied cosmetic changes, blue tinge, bubbles, wavy seaweed - though including an air function would be kinda exciting, have a bar of air that depletes while roaming the underwater labyrinth which can be refilled via air bubbles/pockets. obviously our little androgynous quasi robotic knights wouldnt die from running out of breath just slowly take damage - say 1/2 pip every second or so(might have to scale with tier), and reviving would have to refill air as well as health...

I really like this idea, and I would also like to be able to swim or at least enter the Haven fountain in the town square. In fact, there could be a secret portal in there that would take us to to the underwater levels.
