hi ooo,
there seems to be a lot of hate regarding the constant promos. i'm assuming you're finding it hard to provide game content due to the income flow and requiring promos to keep it going. i don't really care about the mass promos or getting new content myself, i'd like to hopefully suggest helpful ideas lol anyway it seems the community are bringing up a thirst for game content so maybe if you started a kickstarted campaign you could focus on the game content which most of the community think is needed.
rough example...
Goal of $200,000
Stretches
$200,000 new bosses and levels
$300,000 new music
$400,000 voting on what the community wants and delivering it
$500,000 steam workshop integration (impressive fan created work put into promos)
$1,000,000: this stretch seems unlikely so maybe suggest opening the core if achieved :p
pledge $1 or more

*of course most of the designing and naming need ooo's consent.
I'm all for this or something like this.
My idea was that players buying into the game should be able to tell OOO what they want to see in the game. Like if the developers are working on three things, they'd get to vote with their money sort of. The devs could still control the options or force one if need be, because they know what's best for their project.
But a straight up kickstarter campaign would be awesome too, if the devs are really in need of money or what have you.
