New Ideas for a new game mode of SK

Any comments of any errors or anything that does not in SK they comment and give input that would put something better in Sk other than what they are in what I wrote.

Part of the RPG system:

To be a true RPG has to have things that really make a RPG game as the same MP you created level up instead of his team as the only way to be stronger in SK is with trifles and if implemented we would have our own differences in life and strength from each other level would be other things that would make us stronger because they have what I call the branches of skills weapons that handles better than would be the 3 branches of swords, guns and pumps; each have different skills:

Basically what you are outlining is an RPG of a real time game.

What Paper mario is to Super mario bros.

This could be fun and possibly successful but SK already has a profitable game design and I don't think they want to sink their IRL Cr into something new.

I'm hearing a lot of final fantasy references...

This is truely a lot to take in. It is sometimes confusing, but aside from that...
With neo bosses and various versions of the kaizer it sounds an aweful lot like Final Fantasy in some of its versions.
A skill system would make this game more complex (unless you or someone else can give me a wonderful system in which it isn't complex and somehow fits into the story) and I have gotten some comments from real people playing this game that they like it because it's not complicated. So show me how this skill system will not make the game more unduely complex. Also, most things that a knight could need or want as a skill can be obtained through gear, sprite perks, or trinkets.

one of the things that sets SK apart from most RPGs is that you can be anything you want, you are not relegated to be just a swordsman or a bomber, you can get the gear you need, and you only need the skill.
and this new game mode really feels like a new game.

XD good if you take that side answer me something. another way is there to get stronger in SK apart from using the trinkets and UV`s? because if this is said to call RPG would have more ways to make you strong but here in SK there are only those 2 modes available in the game and if you think about it you have the same life, strength and defense than any other person in the world without having those 2 things only experience has its difference in this game; maybe it's a lot to get in SK but having fun beating the same 4 bosses if you know how your system attacks work at least with my bosses would have more entertainment than just having 4 in a game and could create other more missions range expansion and where they can be all those who are prefer at least the bosses that the game system if they think they can be tricky in SK.

So this is... like a mini game that is an RPG of Spiral Knights? Or are you proposing changes to the existing game, whereby we get RPG elements- cuz I don't want a bunch of stats systems added, or forced skill trees, and I certainly don't want stats and skill systems that I have to give up to get other stats n' skills.

I did have an idea like adding swordsman stats etc. to the game though. Specifically, armors that come with basically battle sprite abilities tied to them-- though this was before sprites were added. I think they could still pull it off, if they added an extra vial slot and made the armor abilities take up room on your quickbar + balanced around them, largely because we already need an all around armor balancing patch.

who? I don't see them in here. all I see here are people that are not feeling great about the suggestion.

one thing is giving new life to a game, one is overhauling the game with a skill system and bosses that count on that. complexity isn't what the game needs right now, complexity might actually break the game more than it currently is.

I think I know what the entire suggestion is just from the comments under it.
Basically a TL;DR version would be "Add new skill trees, weapon types, and enemies"?

As others have said, Spiral Knights is unique in that you don't ever focus on your player, but you focus on their gear. In fact, before that update that made star levels unlocked by rank, you could equip a 5-star weapon and have end-game items after an hour of gameplay! It's a unique type of RPG and I like it. In fact, the only real "skill trees" that exist are alchemy paths, and those are unique enough in-of themselves.

In Spiral Knights, we let our gear define our playstyle. In this sense, you are rewarded for having a large arsenal, which requires quite a bit of play-time. If you want to "challenge" yourself, you can just equip lower-level gear and essentially lower your level. It's a nice system and making it play like more traditional RPGs would take some of that charm out of the game.

No no no no. Honestly not to be mean but I would quit the game if something like this was put in. I like normal shadow lairs just be harder versions of what they originally were. Skill branches? No, this game is unique in itself, I would just not like that, so basically your only able to pick one class. No! Making a whole nother character on a free game that takes a bit to do, JUST to get a different class? C'mon. No. I like games that allow you to choose your play style. Much like what Fangel has said ^.

Now this is what I'd like to call a Twizzlers cookie RPG game. Spiral Knights was made to chop wolves and lizards with your scissor blades and roast them into patties. The thing you described above would turn wolves and lizards into magic unicorns using magic. We don't want magic. What I meant by "Kaizers" and "Neo" is that you are introducing new bosses with new attacks and then making a similar version of the boss that is more powerful. It is true that you didn't call these bosses "kaizer" or "neo" too often, but those were just the examples I chose to illustrate my point that you seem to be making shadow lair versions of the bosses you are introducing. This is something other games do and I gave the example of the Final Fantasy franchise. Though making more powerful versions of bosses later in the game does increase the number of bosses, players may tire of seeing the same type of boss again in different colors, even though it may be much tougher to defeat and may have different attacks.
Also, I really can't tell if you want to make another game that is along the lines of Spiral Knights and made by Spiral Knights or if you want to make changes to the existing game.
As for the sprite perks and trinkets, are you saying that you want to make levelling up sprites more difficult? Your comment that the only way to "get stronger" in this game is to have trinkets or UV's, but RPGs don't usually have PvP in them, do they? I can't think of a reason for wanting to be more powerful through anything other than gear unless you really want to crush people in PvP.
So, you want big changes to Spiral Knights or an entirely new RPG that is along SK's lines, but what I am seeing more than anything else is a wide variety of new monsters, bosses, and some weapons thrown in for good measure.
You mention that your ideas will have a lot more story/lore and "scenarios" but could you give some examples?
Also to clear a few things up for me, what is a "PJ" and what is an "MP"?
