An Obsidian Heavy sword-style, with similar damage and attack speed to Gran Faust. Poison status, on second hit and charge. Rescaling the obsidian edge would work and would probably appeal to a large number of players visually and gameplay wise.

An obsidian alchemer, with poison status. Damage would be the same as the poison shadow catalyzer.

Actually that brings up a good idea as well! Obsidian-based Biohazard-style weapon. A pretty obsidian bullet reskin would be awesome to see.

I feel

i feel the obsidian biohazard needs more attention sense the biohazard itself gets so little attention. i would like for it charge to act like the hands in the aprocrean levels that chase you except moves at the slow pace of the biohazard bullets. once it hits an unshielded target, i would capture that target for a small window of time. The charge will fade away from that target in 5 seconds if it is not hit by another charge bullet and this process will repeat until the player either shoots a normal bullet to explode the chain charges he/she has shot or waits 5 second without shooting the charge. during the time the player is shooting the charge, the monster/player would be ensnared by the aprocrean hands and cannot be freed until that 5 second duration has passed.

I feel that the biohazard aprocrean gun should have a more rewarding mechanic so that it rewards players for hitting targets with the slow bullet of the biohazard. If it has some balancing issues, we could lower the speed of the bullet even more.

really, oops. well i was just thinking that weapons that are based on another weapon but have a different origin/story should have a slightly different mechanic.

the shield..

the shield sounds good, but what about it being designated to a special monster like attack boost versus devilities or undead monsters? also what do you think the charge would look like? like tendrils with hands at the end covering the player as he charges?
