PvP Arena! (1v1,2v2, free-for-all)

There needs to be a PvP game where we can fight in duels, or against multiple other people without the class system that lockdown has because the classes are unbalanced and there are issues with having so many players.
Classes have either superior ASI, Damage Bonuses, and the speed boost; or an invisibility cloak; or a shield that either can be broken easily, or is really annoying by blocking damage. Spawncamping, outnumbering, trinkets(maybe), *lag, and quitters are also some lockdown issues.
The solution is a PvP arena.

There would be two modes: free-for-all and team.
Free-for-all is where 2-4 players would fight each other; Team is where 2 teams of 2 would fight against each other. With a smaller number of people, there would be less lag and less of a chance of outnumbering; quitting would be less of a problem as well. This game would fit with Lockdown and Blast Network because of the small amount of players. LD has 8-12 players, BN 4-8; but this game would only have 2-4 players.

The arena would be slightly smaller than a BN arena, and players with spawn and respawn in a certain location, like BN. There won't be any spawncamping. The scoring would be either lives, K.Os, or a choice between the two. Players could choose who to fight. Instead of random people, they could choose to fight friends or guildmates. There would be ranks, and when a player fights random players, the player would fight the players with the closest amount of rank points. This prevents players from fighting players that are too strong for them, and beginners have a fair, easy start.

I think this is a good replica of the old Super Brawl. it was taken down for one reason: weapons were unbalanced and everyone used GF. right now it would be acheron. it's not a good idea just because of this.

I think it would be a good idea though I reckon everyone should have the same items, and you could chose different classes like bomber, gunner and swordsman.

Hmmm...

Thunder the bright is completely right, back then everyone would just bring DA or GF and K.O. people with one hit. U pretty much just killed someone then got killed... killed some then got killed... it was no fun. Now days if it existed people would spam mist bombs and cover the entire map or just fire pulsar lines and never get touched.

This PvP arena would be more balanced because players would choose who to fight, and players who use OP weapons will be at different rank than the players who don't(also, unlike lockdown, there would be any classes).

Besides, unbalanced weapons are lockdown's problem, too.

I don't think the idea should

I don't think the idea should be put down due to certain weapons and such, however it is true to say matchups would define results rather than player skill.
How about;
When clicking on someone's name there is a "Challenge!" option. In the time leading up to the challenge (a minute or so before it begins) you can invite teammates, but they can only join the challenge if it's even (if the enemy invites the same number of people). Also challenging multiple people at once can lead to Free-For-All battles.
Challenging people is a standard idea in MMOs.

I think..

I think this might have been suggested before, but it;s a good idea in my book. I wonder if the fighting mechanics will be exactly the same as the ones we use in clockworks?

I think we should have a very weak shield and a less cool down on dashing so we can be more agile fighters then stationary spammers.

if you want to choose who's figthing against you, then there should be no rewards, because otherwise alt farming would become way too easy.
and yes, unbalanced weapons are a problem in LD, that's no excuse to make another unbalanced minigame.

Algorithms are never the solution.

I wasn't saying you earn from playing. If anything you bet crowns against the player you challenge. Maybe have a cost for issuing the challenge too so that OOO can slightly profit from it.
