This sort of falls between a game and a serious discussion.
Pick one item whether armor, sprite, weapon, or shield and tell how you would buff that item or item type (i.e. Status flourishes could be in the same topic if the buff would apply to and buff both, would not apply if you propose different buffs).

Cold Iron Vanquisher line: Give this weapon a split Normal/Elemental Damage bar. This would make it an extremely viable Deadnaught and Undead slaying weapon while still retaining decent coverage.

*Comment on previous suggestion* Yes, that would be nice... the main problem of the CIV is its disappointingly low dps, and that buff would partially fix this issue. I also liked what you suggested last month (http://forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/109630).

*My Suggestion* I'm sure this has already been suggested many times, but... make the Wild Hunting Blade and The Dread Venom Striker deal split normal/piercing damage. This would make the WHB excellent to deal with beasts (which has always been its intended purpose), while the DVS would be better against fiends. The idea of a jagged dagger dealing piercing damage and being particurarly effective at slashing the flesh of the enemies who don't use armor or protections (devilites and wolvers) but ineffective at piercing metal and cutting jelly (constructs and slimes) makes sense to me: I think pure normal damage is more appropriate for blunt weapons.

Winmillion: 5*, pierce damage
Heavy deconstructor: 5*, elemental damage
Catalyzers: not even going to start listing
Normal damage: make it deal somewhere in between neutral and effective to all enemies

*Reskin of Imgur image with pale Green-Blue tint and Shock particles/aura

... Yes, they are all Normal Damage.

Addressing Holy-Nightmare's Question:

The damage of the new proposed Cold Iron Vanquisher should be similar to the Fang of Vog since both of them share a similar charge (albeit the Fang of Vog's is vastly superior). For them to compete, the Cold Iron Vanquisher may have to deal a bit of damage since it lacks a status on a regular hit and has an inferior charge. Other than that, I would like to see a few more fancy blades running around.

8.3/10 would suggest. Nice work, somewhat, Holy-Nightmare.

Anybody else? Perfect time to list ONE idea.

There are a TON of things that need a buff... but I did have a good idea recently that goes above and beyond.

Catalyzer = double the damage it does on normal hits (i.e. the ones that require a charge to explode etc.)

Having tons of negative attributes (which we've gone over) doesn't have to be a negative thing.. those negative things just need to be matched with positive attributes that make up for them. If the catalyzer's big positive attribute is supposed to be damage (the direction it's kind of going?) then it would make sense for it to have much higher DPS than other weapons to make up for being much clumsier than other weapons.

i agree with fehzor, the damage nerf was really more harmful than helpful after the gunner update, stacking tags should definitely be more rewarding than spamming a valiance

(not exactly on topic but a funny thought i want to share, what if someone chose the spur line, heavy deconstructor, and vitasuit deluxe as their gear line, epic fail)

more on topic vitasuit deluxe, make a 5* with: increased health bonus by 1 or 2, added poison resist (poison since its like a medical thing)

A Poison resist Vitasuit would be wonderfully useful for the Dreams and Nightmares Misson and while obscenely OP like some gear it would provide another alternative to those who have invested in the Cobalt line. Fitting in with the "5th got crushed by a tortodrone" line in the 4 star description it could have a stun weakness.

Current:
Shard bombs should be able to deal damage not only on the first blast or the second but when the first splits the moving shards should also deal damage as they move to where they land.
Along with this the Elemental shard bomb should get a sidegrade much like the pierce and shadow ones did, this would have Icy blue crystals that dealt freeze and extra damage to undead.

So many things...

Defensive armors, Shard Bombs, status Flourishes, Winmillion, Cutters, Troikas, Cold Iron Vanquisher, bombs in general... all of these things need buffs, but here's an idea I have:

Flamberge line = Change to Normal damage with same pattern as Flourish and slightly higher attack speed, massive increase in Fire chance and severity

The ASI and status chance + severity increase also applies to Rigadoon; but that stays as a Piercing sword. To avoid having to do lots of math and the chance of messing up my calculations, this basically makes the Flamberge line to the other Piercing swords what Iron Slug is to Callahan, except with a unique status; it becomes pretty useful, but the type damage alternatives are still effective.

Fehzor Too Good at Bringing Up What Needs Attention

Catalyzers were amazing pre-Gunner update, and I was planning to Dual them to make an awesome stream of projectiles. Nowadays, in Lockdown, I could only just spam the charge and hope it hits someone for the "lols".

The tags are very much weak, and barely contribute to any damage as the Charge is where all of the power is. If anything, you could just own a Catalyzer JUST to use its powerful and quick charge.

Please revert back to original, or make the tags more worthwhile. +1

The tags actually have fairly solid DPS compared to other weapons.. on par with hitting about 50% of your alchemer shots for the 2x. The problem with this balance is really just that it's possible to do better with an alchemer by hitting more shots and that other weapons don't have to deal with all of the problems that catalyzers do.
