WELLLLL

Marriages. My guild was randomly mentioning ideas but, Marriage/Relationship options w/shared inventories and stuff. I think its a interesting idea o3o

Or like Partnership idk. Doesn't have to be 'marriage'

Yeah um

Gonna have to say no to this.

This game ain't facebook where you marry like, seven of your best friends, nor is it a chapel where you marry your significant other.

Now the feature you supply, shared inventories, is sort of already in the game via guild storage. Having that sort of thing between two or more knights would be an alright feature, but I wouldn't tie it to something such as "marriage", because at that point people will marry and divorce each other faster than a cell can replicate itself.

As it stands, having individual knights decide to be "married" to each other is probably better. Potentially you could get a ring accessory that can only be bought in pairs from the supply depot, but when you do that it turns into the "Something special for someone special" item from TF2, often used for jokes rather than for actual specialness.

Online relationships are quite frankly unnecessary. Especially in a game that's supposed to be childlike and carefree; "adult" themes between characters such as marriages would ruin it to a degree.
@Fangel, I'm neutral on the way tf2 does it. That sort of thing sounds like it might work in a sense for SK, but there's not many people who would actually buy it given that most people hate promo box items, which are permanent, and with that attitude i can't see them buying anything that only lasts for a couple seconds for a ton more CE.
(And midnight, SK doesn't need any real-world agenda-pushing either. It's fine as-is)

Yeah

I wouldn't care at all if we had cute little ring accessories that you could give to people you care for, but having it be an accessory wouldn't be locking any features out of the game or create really awkward situations.

Imagine being 24 and realizing your spiral knight SO is like, 14. It's just... It's just kinda eh. Not saying you can't be friends with the same person, but adding an extra layer into the game is highly unnecessary.

@fangel

i like the idea of a jewelled necklace or something like that. Maybe that could be part of the gem promos.
Rings might not work too well on a single finger though because they'd be almost invisible in overworld view.

Sort of the point

Rings are something special because of the connotations behind them. Heck, you could make them basically be a jeweled shield bracelet, but just on a finger. Instead of an accessory it's a shield. Preferably a reskin of some shield, or just being a shield with moderate normal resistance and a single status resistance.

Necklaces and in general jewelry would make great accessories, but having a ring shield would be cute and also not take up a costume accessory slot. Make the gem hilariously big, and allow them to be bought in pairs for 50% off the second shield. Bam, you have a pretend relationship with shields. If you just want the item then you can buy a single one for yourself. If you have someone special, you can buy them a ring that's the same color as yours, and then stand next to each other in haven or something.
