For Mismaster/Orbitgun users

Just curious, how well does dps go for the Orbitgun compared to the Mixmaster?
I have my trusty Mixer but missed the Orbitgun sale last March and wondering how the fire element works compared to shock.
I have a ctr med UV but I rarely use the charge attack at all ever since I started using a full BK set.
Thoughts/Comments/Rants appreciated

It's also worth considering that shock on one target can harm nearby targets. So shock can do a lot of damage against a tightly clumped crowd.
But maybe you are asking about a single target? Then fire should do more damage than shock, but I don't have numbers for you.
(Of course, you could also simply kill the target with a magnus, autogun, or alchemer charge.)

The actual damage output from the gun kind of trumps the shock or fire output, as with most "status" variants. It might as well just be flavor text.

I do admit I really wish I had the Orbitgun but seeing as I only do T3, Mixmaster shock works great with mobs

Out of topic. Status only deals a very small percent of dmg only(if) it goes off...
The amount of volleys is where real dps shines for guns.
People say ASI on guns are rubbish and CTR is the way to go. That just means they're using their guns wrong. If charge is a must, chaos is always there... but "negative status..." well... why else do you think guns are ranged weapons.

I think I have a mixmaster demo on yt. Last time I remembered using one, it ate through fsc lol.
But the fire one has the same chance of fire, which scales with other fire items
for a comparison take your mixmaster, look at what level of shock it has, then test a different weapon with the same level but fire, that should give you a good idea of how the fire will work once applied, and the status affliction rate can be tested with your mixmaster
