UVs, Are They Really Worth It?

Hello everyone, I recently started playing and just hit Tier 2. At the beginning I thought I knew what I wanted to be my end-game items so I followed a strategy of crafting a lot of the same items, selling the ordinary and keeping the Unique Variants. When I started playing on Tier 2 though I realized that one specific loadout isn't going to cut it, much less in Tier 3 and decided to craft a lot more swords/handguns/armor etc.

So my question is: Do UVs really make a difference at end-game and is it worth it to invest the time to put UVs on all my items?

yes they are worth it. Damage

yes they are worth it. Damage vs undead, CTR, ASI, curse resist and shock resist

No

Just focus on getting to T3 first, then worry about getting the UVs that you want. UVs are very expensive, both if you're making them yourself or buying them later when you start making enough money so you can sustain yourself.

Well the whole

Well the whole craft-sell-keep thing is self sustaining (and even makes a profit) but it's slow so I'm probably going to get to T3 first. Anyway I was thinking of getting the following stuff at some point:

Swords:
Acheron
Dread Venom Striker (already have one with UV vs Slime low)
Levi
Divine Avenger
Gran Faust (Don't think I'm gonna get UVs on these last 2)

Guns:
Valiance
Hail Driver (I have a Cryotech Alchemer with a vs Goblins: Low UV, talk about luck -.-)
Umbra Driver
Argent Peacemaker (Again don't think I'll UV that)

Armor:
Skolver/Vog cub armor (have a Wolver armor with Elemental damage: Medium UV)
Skolver/Vog cub helm
Barbarus thorn shield (or a Grey Owlite)

What would be good UVs for these, and should I keep the UVs I already have?

On your Cryotech with Gremlin

On your Cryotech with Gremlin Low... you can always reroll the UV when you upgrade. Only 11% chance you'll still have a UV afterwards... but would you really miss Gremlin Low? The very first Faust I crafted got Fiend Low... what a let down. Fortunately, when I went to make a Gran Faust I got CTR Low.

In any case, that is a pretty complete arsenal.

Swords usually benefit most from ASI or CTR, depending on their speed and the usefulness of their charge attack. There are exceptions - DVS is already fast so ASI barely registers, and the charge attack is terrible; thus UV Slime is a good fit since it is a great weapon for the Royal Jelly Palace.

I'm not a gunner, but generally ASI is most useful for guns.

For Armor and Shields, just get the highest UVs you can, the size of a UV is probably small compared to the overall defense. Some people like to stack UVs like Elemental on Vog Cub, or fill a gap like Elemental on Skolver, either way. If a particular status is giving you trouble, get some resistance in that.
