Does attack speed increase affect or lower the reload time on alchemer guns?

I've heard that attack speed

I've heard that attack speed bonuses don't affect the reload time of guns. Possibly because the reload animation doesn't count as an attack.

...I wish it did, though.

I heard it did from one post, but they said it was a barely noticeable amount. I don't know whether or not that is true though so don't quote me on it. I would like to think that it isn't true so we can get an update later where it does effect the reload time a significant amount lol.
