ok I am pretty sure I have never seen a snarly guide but I guess it's too easy.But I decided that I will help people who have not defeated him yet.
I was actully surprised that he was actully harder than I thought because he goes into the ground a lot even though I was in my tier 2 armor and a tempered caliber.
first,I hope you saved up your crowns because snarby is probally a bit hard for tier 1 people and easy for higher tier.I suggest that before you do snarby,you should buy a two star shield.But,full default is ok.
1.Do not die and use mist energy before you meet snarby.Let your friends revive you.Save pills and health capsules.
2.Hit the bell that causes stun when he is very near it,then hit him in the back and sides.
3.Do not let snarby to spam bite you,dodge it.I made a mistake of shielding with my skelly shield he he actully broke it.
4.When you have the chance,use your vials on him.Curse,fire,and poison is good.Poison is probally the best because it lowers his defense while he's being hurt by it.
5.After you kill Snarbalox you always get these tokes.Save them.After you get 10, go to Brinks bottom left next to Kozmoa.You can exchange your tokens for one of those things under the Frumious Fangs catergory.If you have the patience and have full defualt gear.Then buy a Snarby Barb and keep doing Snarbolox.Then,the next reward you should get is the sheild.Then you will only have to get a 2 star helm and armour in order to acess tier 2. Good luck.

Gunslinger Guide!!!!!

2.You should hit the bell because when he goes to the middle and you can hit the bell from a distance.
3.You certaintly would not want snarby to spam bite you.
4.If you actully use guns and nothing else.Well at least have a gun that shot one at a time so you can hit the bell easier.
5.Well if you use the gun alot,probally should get the sheild from Brinks so you have a better sheild for next time.
6.You need at least 2 companions.Unless you got a very good gun (which is not likely for a new recruit.) and you can solo the whole run.(if you solo you should use a sword at elast.)

Who's affraid of the big bad wolf?
WARNING: the bell has no effect on Snarby while he's performing the attack animation.
Don't be surprised if you hit the bell and Snarby doesn't get stunned.
Tip: instead of standing in the middle of the... hmm, "arena", you can stand on the party button - you won't get hurt by his ground-spikes that much. Just remember to lure him near the bell when the right moment comes.

I've done a proto run with
I've done a proto run with guild mates before against Snarby. It makes the boss really fun, even for people experienced and have fought the other more challenging bosses. Try it - full proto gear =P

Snarbolax is pretty straight
Snarbolax is pretty straight forward. He's invincible unless stunned by the bell s obviously attacking won't do much. While he's moving around all over the place just keep your shield up and walk away from where he's coming from. Don't bother trying to block his bites as it'll probably break your shield just like Alpha Wolvers. When he approaches the bell, hit it then go all out on Snarbolax. Don't bother with vials as they're a waste of time.
Its the exact same strategy for Gunners. With bombers the only problem is hitting the bell but I imagine you can find the timing pretty easily.

Full default.
I'm going to test full proto.Since I did it with full combat and a smelly shield and a tempered caliber because I did not bother with snarbalox when I was tier one.

Bait
It seems like I can make it go faster on solo by baiting him to the middle. If I run at it when it pops up in a corner and give it something to bite it tends to chase me to the middle more frequently instead of the spike attacks. Could just be my imagination.....

Snarby is easy.
With my snarby barb and and cobalt helm and armour (probally use my jelly helm) i can basicly solo it now but expect to see the gun slinger advice.Btw i can only do advice because it is similiar to the sword guide.

Easy
Yeah.Snarby is easy to solo when you got the barb and tier 2 armour.I am not pro though.Only pro at tier 1 lol.And average at tier 2.Have not even got to tier 3.

all you need for Snarby...
All you need for snarby is some strong coffee and/or some good music to keep you awake while waiting for him to get close enough to hit the bell

Tried again last night to test. It seems like if you stand near snarby he will be more likely to try to bite you and you can run to the bell. when I stood in the middle and shielded he mostly did ranged attacks and tunneled.

So what is this? A guide on what foods to eat while fighting Snarbolax? I'd like to know what would be better, pork chops or chicken breast. Pork would be more delicious but it's not as healthy and potentially more distracting. But the chicken wouldn't be as tasteful and that might distract me too. I don't know what to choose.

Bristling Buckler
That shield is called Bristling Buckler and it has Sword Damage Bonus so it's not a good choice for "pure" gunslinger.
Actually I'm afraid there's nothing interesting for "pure" gunslinger that can be purchased with Frumious Fangs :-(

No Gunslinger's are
No Gunslinger's are definitely better off with an Owlite shield or something else that will block a majority of the more annoying long ranged attacks. Bristling Buckler with its Piercing defense certainly won't do it. I realize you'd like recognition and are trying to help people but if you really don't know all that much then you shouldn't bother since you're only going to give incorrect info and possibly spark arguments.

You have almost everything wrong.
1.- The "Don't waste your energy reviving" tip is actually pretty good.
2.- It doesn't matter where you hit him once he is stunned as long as you are hitting him.
3.- Spam biting is actually good since you can run around him and hit the bell, and stun him.
4.- Vials are useless against Snarby since the effects only last a couple of secs and they go away once he returns to his invincible state. Therefore the time it actually takes you to pull out the vial, aim, and the time it takes to hit snarby is time wasted. You could hit him 3 or 4 times in that time.
Full Proto gear is not recommended although it's do able (I've done it). You should atleast get some 1* gear before even attempt to solo snarby. On the other hand if you are running with an experienced group It's going to be pretty easy.
