I encounter a strange bug which I never did when I did Vanaduke runs before. The big guy charge and disappeared into thin air. I put a link to the screen shot here.

As you can see, the gate behind is still closed and the field is empty. It's kind of funny so i posted this. I think this happens rather rarely since I never heard of this problem before.
Hamburget time!!! Sigh, I guess Vanaduke wants to make it to McDonald's Hamburger Time which is all you can eat Hamburger for 10$.

I just saw this happen, too. It was at the end of the third phase, when Vanaduke had taken enough damage that I thought the fourth phase should be about to start. Vanaduke was frozen by my shivermist buster, and then simply vanished.
For what it's worth, in the battle, Vanaduke never did spawn zombies in the first wave, but mostly just stood there waiting to die. Now, being frozen did have some impact on that, but usually he spawns zombies right at the start.
He doesn't always spawn zombies if someone runs close enough for him to target in the opening sequence. I usually open with a Shivermist, and was caught off guard the first few times I got mace-punched before I could plant it.
He does this sometimes when you shiver lock him. It works like the Planet Express ship. Rather then move through space, it stays where it is and moves space around it. So guess what happens when you try to move space around an object anchored to it......
