Lately I've been going into the wrong tier of Lockdown for my loadout. Recently I had on all T1 gear, but went into a T3 match.

I specifically made a tier 2
I specifically made a tier 2 loadout, started a match and noticed it said that it was forcing me to tier 3. I was wondering why?
Lastly, why not have tier 2 through 5 that correspond to the average of your equipment level and stars? I have okay gear for having all 4*, and I get 1 shotted every time I leave the force field of my base. (Freaking DA/GF over powered crap.) It's gotten to the point I'm going to stop playing this game type because I want to toss my laptop across the apartment.

You need to deactivate or
You need to deactivate or delete all your higher tier loadouts. Look at the list. EVERY loadout that has "T3" written besides it must be disabled for PvP. This includes the currently worn one. Not wearing them isn't enough: If they have a pvp icon besides them (= you can switch to them in safe zones) they do count.

@ufna A common mistake to be sure, but I can assure you that some people are being glitched into T3 matches without having any T3 PVP loadouts. I played a number of T2 matches in a row, then suddenly found myself in T3 matches without ever changing any loadout, equipment, or anything. As far as I know I wouldn't even have had the opportunity to change any loadouts, as I was just hitting the "Play Again" button at the end of the match.

I can assure you that some people are being glitched into T3 matches without having any T3 PVP loadouts.
My guess is that when there aren't enough players to fill a pure tier match, they will try to create balanced teams by putting equal numbers of lower tier players on each side. I guess the assumption is that people will change their playing tactics based on what other people have (hence lots of loadouts), so if you the thrown into a higher tier, you would play backup/recon/defend more, rather than go for damage.

I'm actually starting to think it might have something to do with costume armor being bugged in Lockdown. Usually the costume items don't even show up in LD, but sometimes, rarely, they do. If the costume item is, say, a 4 or 5 star piece it might then end up counting towards your tier rating and bumping you up into the wrong tier (even though they aren't counted in the loadout display).

I've never worn any costumes for my T1 matches, and I've never experienced getting bumped to T2-3.
Gonna try equipping my alt's Virulisk Set as costume sometime for T1. Let's see if I get into Tier 3 and get 1-shot by everything that moves...
Seconding this. I specifically equipped a strong T2 loadout made up of some left-over 3* stuff because my main gear is only all 4*, but was thrown into a T3 match instead. What gives?
