Either the price of Silver Keys should be lowered to at least 300 CE, or create a second option...

The second option should be to log in for 30 days (NOT IN A ROW) and then the lock on ONE of your lockboxes will become rotten :D
if you had a second box, you'd have to wait a whole 'nother month!

Wait....wht? O_o

You could of put a lot more effort into this post.
And yes its sad that the price is 750CE($2.50US) but you may have to live with it D:
Its possible that they'll lower the price after either getting too many complaints or when they're not getting enough money(Example: Unbinding/UV price was halved)
Good Luck...

yup, i cant spend 750 for an accessory ._. too expensive for me... i don't even have full 5* gear!

why would i spend 750 ce to open a box that contains an accessory that i don't even know if i like!

and the price is just messed up! as i said in other topic, this is only to get a different look, it does not provide any actual benefit, so idk why such a high cost for it...

u know Skeys and TF2 keys are

u know Skeys and TF2 keys are both equal in price? yet TF2 players don't mind paying it now do they...

there is a second option instead of buying 750 CE from OOO... save up 750 CE through daily runs, do it right and u can have a key in 5-6 days without dropping a dime. i doubt you can do that in tf2 unlike u have the metal for it

o rly?

If i wanted to i could make 750CE kind of fast its just the fact that why would i use 750CE on this useless item when i could buy an item worth 750CE!
In the end i would still be supporting OOO because im using energy and playing their game...
If your a player that comes by money easily whether its real or ingame then your lucky! :P

@Madadder
And yet, ever realize how this is Spiral Knights and not Team Fortress 2? Yeah, who would have thought two entirely different games are ENTIRELY different?

Costs too much. Period.

I hate these accessories. Costs almost as much as a 5 star item. I have only seen one person with a accessory, and that is because even a 5 star guy would think twice. I came to this game cause it is awesome, but there are some parts of the game (like this ) that make you scream. After you get your item then 90% of the time you dont like it. And that, my friends, is a waste of a five star item worth. I see the disappointment as some awesome night opens his box... Only to find that it is a fedora!!!! Lockboxes should be less rare, keys should cost 100 CE and to me that is streching it.

Not gonna happen. Accessories

Not gonna happen.
Accessories were made for older players who have tons of ce and/or crowns and for those ready to shell out $60 to buy an accessory or two for their knight. Who cares you won't notice it on others 99.8% of time?

Want to buy accessories? Be ready to pay ridiculous amounts of moneys.

u know that SK and TF2 practically partnered up right? SK is trying to cash in with what TF2 does with the keys and crates they may be different but they use nearly the same F2p model, u pay into them both to get credit and exchange them for what you want.

if you don't want them DON'T GET THEM

Quit it everyone, stop NOT comparing SK to TF2

Seriously, don't be silly and naive. Why do you think SK is part of Steam Trade along with TF2?

I think the price of a silver

I think the price of a silver key is kinda high. 750ce to get a random accessory item that you may or may not want. thats just stupid. im not gonna pay more for the accessory (which has no actual value other than appearance) than i am for the armor its attached to.(which has defensive stats)

so this is my suggestion:
1. Lower the price of silver keys
OR
2. Create alternatiive means to obtain them. add them to that lovely prize wheel they just added or buy them with Krogmo Coins

Don't listen to bespectacled demon versions of PHB from Dilbert

Because from what I've heard TF2 items don't get permanently grafted and you don't have to destroy them to use them anywhere else.

greedy 3 rings...

i hate when free games are like drugs and adult websites, you can get a sample, but if you want the whole thing, you must pay for it

(and yes, spiral knights is not free like the name says, for Cristal energy, or you pay it, or someone else you don't know pays it)

Its still the same concept on both. You can either play with the standard gear, or find ways to obtain other ones (usually through trading). The primary difference is SK has a clearly defined progression path, which is typical of adventure games. TF2 uses "alternative loadout" where equipment is generally equal or has pro/con trade offs, which is typical in competitive FPS games.

Right now the way it binds is the Achilles heel of the entire system. If not for that, the price wouldn't be as big an issue since people could show them off and potentially trade them.

it's roughly a week worth of

it's roughly a week worth of (FREE ME!) delving!
realy feel like i'm the only one who's not botherd by the price... people in TF2 pay the same amount of money for the same exact thing (and they can ONLY buy it with REAL money or spend days on a trade server selling everything they found and so like most of you can just buy it with ingame curency)

give a vallid argument next time anybody feels something is overpriced...

I'm not going to say that

I'm not going to say that they are overpriced, but they shouldn't be pure CE. Make it 50/50 so the market dosent spike. Plus, the whole destruction upon removal thing is reeealy annoying.
Also, stop comparing this to TF2. If TF2 jumped off of a bridge, would you? You might. Stop anyway, seriously.

Yes its expensive, period. This is a SK forum, not a TF2 forum.

Any argument against this comment is invalid.

TF2? i think not

lets see... comparing prices of hats in TF2 with prices for silver keys in spiral knights it's not the same, why?, you might ask, well, to begin with, when you buy a tf2 hat you CHOOSE wich hat you want to buy, in spiral knights every lockbox you unlock can create ANY accessory and that implies that you have to buy more keys in order to get that specific accessory you want, or simply one that fits your desires.

for example: someone opens a lockbox with a silver key, and he gets a maid headband (a girls accessory obviously) and the guy has to sell it in AH for half the price of the silver keys... or maybe less (cuz there aint too many girl players arround) since everyone wants to sell them away.

and in TF2 you don't depend ENTIRELY on the gear you use, its just a minor benefit you get from the weapons you use ( as many weapons have their respective drawbacks) in spiral knights you do depend on your gear, for pvp matches, tier runs, and everything!

if you think about this, everyone should agree that 750 CE is too pricy for a silver key.

my suggestions:

1º:lowering the price of silver keys as many other said. so getting an unwanted accessory is not that much of a waste of money.

2º:adding the option to choose what kind of accessory you are going to create. (not specifically the item you want, only the type of accessory, like googles, visors, vertical vents, wings, auras, etc)

3º: modifying the lockboxes so you can see what accessory they contain, so if you don't want the item in it, you just seek for another lockbox, saving you the price of the silver key, so you can't open it and find that you don't want the item in it.
