They've been there long before the Halloween update, I refer to them/it as an aura. But that's just me.

I'm proud to be in the same guild as you. You blame Boswick like no ones business.
They have always been there. It is where the chain is on the Cold Iron Vanquisher but it's 'transparent' on the Leviathan Blade. In certain situations, you can see where the chain texture would be.
