In-game Pets

Seeing a few threads about this topic: PETS. Only read one and it suggested having the Snipes that go fly about Haven as pets. Though it also suggested being able to train one to help in battle. My suggestion is simple. Regular Companion Pets to accompany you into the danger ridden depths of the Clockworks. They could have Vendor in the Bazaar that sells Snipes of different varieties (black, white, yellow, undead, volcanic, or get the idea) for crowns but also pets based off of the monsters you face during your expeditions into the Clockworks for the tokens you get. Here would be a list of some possible pets (and their possible antics) sorted by the tokens that you'd need to trade for them.
Forge Spark:
Mecha-Squire (follows you around and occasionally takes practice swings with it's sword that leads to it stumbling/ tripping)
Shoulder-Mounted Gun Puppy (occasionally fires a nerf dart/pellet in a random direction)
Gremlin Orphan (tinkers with a random gadget)
Grim Spark:
Devilite Intern (takes notes)
Greaver Pup (occasionally lands on you hand to rest)
Shoulder-Mounted Howlitzer (occasionally bites at the air)
SpooKitten (mews, ya i know but i can't really think of things that a real kitten can do that a ghost kitten can also do)
Floating Phantom Skull (floats around hauntingly)
Primal Spark:
Baby Chromalisk (hangs out on your shoulder and occasionally grabs a bug with it's tongue)
Wolver Pup (sits up and barks, occasionally rolls around and chases tail)
gentlecube (jelly cube with a monocle) *not to be confused with the impostocube who has hair, mustache and pipe
Boss Tokens: (bought with tokens obtained from the bosses their based on. Only knights with the artifacts obtained after the boss can purchase boss pets depending on what artifacts they have. i.e. knights must have Recon Module: Gloaming Wildwoods to be able to purchase baby Snarby and Echo Stone: Gloaming Wildwoods to be able to purchase Rabid baby Snarby.)
Baby Snarby (stands up and let's out a cute roar)
Rabid baby Snarby (same as baby Snarby but foams at mouth)
Almirian Shade (floats around and occasionally sobs for his lost kingdom)
Roarmulus Prototype (shoulder mounted, fires nerf darts and shoots out a nerf dart in a mortar like fashion)
Red Roarmulus Prototype (same as Roarmulus Prototype)
Heir Jelly (occasionally spins about)
Icy Usurper (spins and also shivers)
Just wanted to put my ideas somewhere and maybe get some input about them.

Plus then you can have auras and a pet. Btw, I thought of an idea for the red romulus prototype -- it shoots little burning shots.
I absolutely love the idea - mecha squire is my favorite.

I hope they don't become an accessory because I doubt you'd ever see them out of a lockbox. Maybe something you can buy for crowns/CE or boss tokens? c:

I know I'd get a mounted gun puppy. lolol. Great ideas.
Hope it wouldn't lag any, though.

if its crowns/ce that make it easy.if u need 1k ask a friend hey can i have 1k done you get the pet.if its tokens it requires time and effort to get them.

tokens or cr, preferably not lockboxes (locking all these cute little companions up in an iron box for who knows how long, thats just not on)
+1 all the way, 'pets' as a purely aesthetic addition would be nice

If you say we should have pets as accessories i'm all for it. I think this may be the only way we can have pets in game.

great idea for pets. Purely visual, yet adds something to the game in the form of more boss fights. I'd love a little snarby to fOllow me around. Plus I would have to fight the real snarby more woot! +1 all the way!

Actually i wouldn't like it if they were accessories. since then they would take up an accessory slot that you want to use for something else. Also, when you wanted to change pets you'd lose the pet you previously had and would have to buy it again. I meant the pets would be more like the companion pets in World of Warcraft. They wouldn't require any slots (except maybe a pet slot) and switching between them would be more like switching between stume items.

^agreed. I wouldn't want them to be accesories. A Pet slOt would be great, and you could switch them out anywhere u could normally switch gear.

i dont think anyone actually meant have them as true accessories (though i guess they would work as aura accessories?) just that they act like accessories in that they have no practical purpose, just looks.
being able to switch pets around in towns and terminals would be so much better then to have them permanently linked to a single piece of armour
also having pets as 'costumes/accessories' means a single additional variable to be sent from server to client, the client machines can do all animation for the pets as they have no impact on the game world so their position, status, state need not be determined by the server - no lag increase (connection wise at least)

Just realized something. It be more interesting if purchasing the Shadow Lair boss pets required the echostone obtained after facing the the boss.

I've always wanted a baby rabid snarby. Looks like you've put a lot of time and effort into this idea. Keep it up!

be a nice use of the token considering that the trinket have been pretty much eclipsed in favour of of the krogmo trinkets, don't know about the bosses though
COME MY GREMLIN MINION WE HAVE WORK TO DO
Those that are shoulder-mounted/fly around you, can become accesories or auras.
