Question: Does my progress save between when all the gates change? As in, I've reached Tier 2 of the Ruby Sun Gate (jelly king palace stuff right now) and so I get a free jump to join groups at T2. Eventually I know the gate will change, but if the Ruby Sun Gate ever comes back around, will I still have that progress to T2 saved?

Nope, all the gates are new and different. The name is random. In the future a new ruby sun gate may come but it will have different levels and all and you'll have to complete it again.
uhh... they don't come around consistently since there are 182 combinations. I can't say I've ever noticed a gate a second time after it left the current rotation.
So, the real answer is I have no clue.
