Before you read this, please know that i know that this has probaly already been posted before. I want to do it anyway, so please dont hate. I do appreciate constructive criticizim, however.

I very much don't like the fact that taking an accesory off an item destroys it. I bought myself an accesory, and wanted to put it on my helm. But luckily, i found out that if i put it on my noobish helm ( i am fairly new to spiral knights) that i would not be able to put it on anything else later. That kinda irked me. I wanted to wear it, but knew that it would be best to get all 5 star equipment before i put it on anything. I would really appreciate it if they changed that. I believe accessories should not be destroyed in the process. I also don't like that the simplest of accesories are very expensive. Customization is a big thing for me, and they should have some cheaper accesories for people starting out. Little trinkets like flowers for your helm should not cost someone a fortune. Stuff like a pumpkin bandoiler i do not mind being pricey.

Erm..

Firstly I'd like to point out that Pumpkin Bandoliers are not tradeable unless they're already attached to an item, you unbind that item, then sell it.

But, the reason accessories vanish after being removed is because of the economy. Lockboxes aren't really opened too often, due to the price of Silver Keys and the gamble involved. Therefore, accessories are a little more rare (Especially the ones that almost never drop from Lockboxes). Yet, even with this, many accessories are in fact cheaper than Silver Keys, either because of low demand or that person got a Silver Key for free/from a promotion, etc.

If you could unbind and then sell accessories, then it'd basically flood the market with unwanted items...

PS: Little items like flowers on your helmet are probably more popular than 50% of the available accessories; they're priced based on demand.

Hmm... so the iron lockbox

Hmm... so the iron lockbox gives 1 out of a 100 accessories? Why... why would they make almost all the accessories come from an iron lockbox that can only be opened with a key that costs 750 ce? That baffles me, but since they've already done that, it'd be hard to implement some flowers for your helm priced around 500 cr for new beginners. It'd tick some people off. Oh well. Spiral Knights is still a great game.

I hear you

i can see where youre coming from. i think that removing an accessory without destroying it should cost money. just to transfer the accessories that were hard to find, costed a fortune, and that you decide you want on a different helm. i think that would be acceptable depending on the safe removal fee, but what i would also like, is for accessories sill bound to items, to have the feature of being toggled on and off (visible/invisible)
