Indicate number of levels/elevator energy requirements for missions

May I suggest that you indicate the number of levels (or total elevator energy requirements) that a particular mission has.

Some missions are just a single level whilst others are spread over two/three levels. Later missions my be spread over four or more. Without some idea of how long missions are, I can't effectively plan my playing time or energy usage. Am I likely to be able to complete this mission before I have to go out/go to bed? Do I have enough energy for the elevators or am I going to get part way through and then have to make the choice of either abandoning the mission, obtaining Crystal Energy, or purchasing an elevator pass so I can finish it?

A small icon within the mission description, preferably near the start button, would suffice. e.g.: "20 (-)". Thanks.

@Byzik:

While I'm not in disagreement with this, you can check from the Mission Lobby.

Since it counts as Depth 0, you don't get charged a fee for going to the Lobby. Once there, click the Gear Icon then click Gate Map. It'll tell you how long the mission is.

I suggested this too.

If it helps I've found that most missions other than the first two tiers tend to cost either 20 or 30 energy.

I was just going to make a thread on this, happy to see that one exists already. I played using a pass before (and with the infinite mist on the test server), so it never occurred to me to see how long the levels were before they started. Now that I'm running on daily mist again, it's a bit more noticeable.

@Sev, even so, it would be a much better design of the interface if you could look it up without having to change zones. Imagine what a pain it would be to have to drop down to the d0 party lobby if you wanted to see a gate's map, for instance.

Yes, like I said, it'd be more convenient were this in place, I was just telling her (presumably) a work-around. =]

Although, you can probably get a general idea of what the missions *are* from the mission description, and the length from the gate map. It'd still be nice to have this, but again I was offering a work-around.

A lot of players, even

A lot of players, even experienced ones don't know there even is a gate map or where to find it.
The gate map should be hot mapped to a key function and how to use it could be explained in one of Kozma's many tutorials.

I like the idea of knowing how many levels there are up front as well, as sometimes, you're making a choice based on time available to play vs. how much energy you have.

Finally - since the whole concept of the mission is to get to the end goal - maybe a pop up of some kind that tells the player they do not have enough energy to complete the entire mission could be added.
