So, I'm a 4* swordy. I have the ash tail set, an owlite shield [for now] and as for my weapons I have an avenger (I like to use my avenger when level appropriate the most), silent nightblade, dark thorn blade, and blight needle. I also have a kilowatt pulsar which has been sitting as my T2 PvP weapon. With the new mission system in place, I'm also considering of updating a calibur I got -- along with the one I had as a lowbie into a CIV and Levi (for the lulz). I haven't been doing it lately, because I'm more concerned with getting 5* recipes for my items, but I run FSC quite frequently since I'm T3.

So, my first question is, are there any other gun or bomb sidearms I should keep in mind to buy? Should I upgrade my Kilo pulsar or buy another with tokens and upgrade another line?

Considering I got another brandish from the mission system, is there another line that is good? Or should I just pick a random element for giggles and upgrade it?

Consider a status vaporizer

Especially Ash of Agni and Voltaic Tempest. I find these useful for swordsmen because they help make up for lost time and damage when you find yourself unable to keep attacking in close range.

Upgrade the Pulsar as well (or get another Pulsar) because it's really good for countering turrets.

Without any bomber gear or CTR UV, you might find a bomb taking too long to charge, and the effect too weak before 4*. You'd be better off charging a suitable sword or firing guns.

You can be a bomber and swing a sword with decent effect, but you can't be in swordie gear and hope your bombs to be effective. Dedicated bombers are a fearsome sight - about 2 seconds to deploy a bomb, dealing out great amounts of status and damage that gunners and swordies can never compare.

I'm a sword user with a gun as sidearm, trying to find a balance to bomb since I got a Heavy Demo Helm as item drop (now a Mad Bomber Mask with Curse Med). With a Level 10 Shivermist Buster I can deploy about every 3 seconds. I'm thinking of making a Volcanic Demo Suit as well.
