Here I was, sitting in Haven sipping my fancy tea while stroking my curly mustache, when I went to go look at my Prestige Missions for the day. Upon closer inspection, I was enraged to find that I have to turn in a Jalovec today (4* Krogmo weapon, trolol forget that). But then I looked at the one I have to turn in for tomorrow, and it turns out that I have to turn in something called a Wishbone.

Now, I don't know if OOO is trolling me on proportions recently unheard of, but I'm now making it my goal to track down this "wishbone". As such, I'm organizing a search party to track down as many "wishbones" as possible.

tl;dr - I'm so awesome that I got a request for items that don't even exist yet. Now I want to spread the awesome by getting people wishbones as well. Who's in?

v. A prank pulled on a friend that involves two people sneaking up on the person and each grabbing a different leg. Both pull forcefully in different directions like one would on a wishbone from an Thanksgiving turkey. This causes severe pain the the groin and loins.

But I would imagine the inclusion of a wishbone in this update is a prelude to new monster types, since there are currently no monsters of the avian variety in existence for one to procure a wishbone from.

You obtain the Wishbone from defeating Vanaduck in the Quackstorm Citadel

It costs $9.99 per minute to play the level and in addition Vanaduck gives out Scrooge Dimes which can be exchanged for Quackshot Module Trinkets, the Darkwing Set (which has shadow defense and enables the /getdangerous emote when equipped), Gearloose Gauntlet, or a Junior Woodchucks Recon trinket

Most likely it's a leftover item that was never released, yet plagues the item database. Like zee cores and so.

Unfortunately, GMs don't have the ability to change prestige missions. This

And now that I'm hearing

And now that I'm hearing about several guildies getting this as well, one of two things will happen.

A) Mass support message saying "lol no prestige for you"
B) 3 game updates to address the issue. One to acknowledge the problem, one to introduce a new material to be sold by Vatel, and then another in order to patch a glitch where you can get Wishbones for free and see a few members banned.

But no really I'm a little irritated now because apparently I'm not the only one with the issue, and there's people out there who do want to do prestige missions.

Unless I am mistaken, we all get the same Prestige mission offerings for a given rank. Is that correct, or do some parameters roll independently for each player the way vendors' item selections do? I kinda assumed they were all specified by Three Rings, but I guess it should have occurred to me that they'd already have a system up for providing randomised offerings...

Re: wishbones being avian features, remember that the life on Cradle is probably* not actually related to Terran life so any superficial resemblances are probably coincidental. Something one might call a "wishbone" could be a feature of some constructs' structures. Also, I am surprised that no one has mentioned the Freeze-themed Chromalisks yet. They look like dinosaurs to me, which means they come to mind easily when some one mentions birds.

*Unless I'm missing some timeframe information or any reference (which I hope is not and never will be there to miss) to Humans or their home system, Terra could be one of the source worlds from which Cradle is built, explaining a lot of uncanny similarities between stuff on Cradle and on Terra. For that matter, with some exile/isolation thing and/or unusual time travel going on, it could also be the homeworld of the Spiral Knights, explaining the sense of belonging. It's probably gonna turn out to be something about the Core integrating everything around it, though, which is fine by me. This unit, for one, welcomes its new purity of essence.

Ok then.

We got a prestige system that we don't know what will give us.

We just know that most likely, the Knights that have a certain amount will receive some rewards. As it could change as the Expansion Mission preview did.

We now get an impossible item to get, so people who are "racing" to get that unknown quantity of points are left out of it, maybe. Or at least, hindered. It isn't even like "pay up to give a 4* weapon the same day". It is 100% impossible to get and basically we are being told to "deal with it".

Does this make ANY sense at all?

Edit: No, I didn't get the mission, but I am worried a lot I might get that.
