WE NEED A NEW GUN!
Currently there is guns that you start out with, your proto gun, And as you progress you can either attain , A antigua, or a Stun Gun, Even a pulsar.
So far there is only this variation, That is either Pulsar based, Or Gun Based ( bullets).
So why isn't there a Laser based Gun? Wouldn't that be cool?
So~ There has to be one with an 5* Alchemy path, and with a charge shot, that shoots a beam for about 3 seconds.

Here's my original concept, but I'll post it anyway.
For this gun, and a couple of others, I'm planning to use a new concept of a single clip gun, but with a charge shot system much like bombs - however this time, the longer you charge the weapon the more powerful it becomes.
This would help gunners get a more powerful weapon, while making sure the gun isn't too OP. It also encourages them to take on support roles.
Retro Beam (***)
DAMAGE TYPE: ELEMENTAL
ATTACK POWER: MEDIUM
SPEED: SLOW
CLIP SIZE: 1
Constructed out of salvaged Retrode parts, this makeshift weapon has, surprisingly, been approved for use by the Spiral HQ Experimental Weapons Division.
NORMAL ATTACK (0% Charge):
A weak beam with a diameter of 0.5 squares is generated, travelling until it hits a wall and passing through all monsters. 20% damage of full power shot.
HALF CHARGE ATTACK:
A slightly stronger beam with a diameter of 0.5 squares is generated, travelling until it hits a wall. 50% damage of full power shot.
FULL CHARGE ATTACK:
A massive energy beam with a diameter of 1 square is generated, travelling until it hits a wall. Full power shot damage against elemental-neutral monsters is equivalent to a Blast Bomb.
UPGRADE LINES:
3* Retro Beam > 4* Lance Beam(Elemental) > 5* Hyper Beam(Elemental)
3* Retro Beam > 4* Ruin Beam(Elemental/Status) > 5* Outworld Beam(Elemental/Status)
A single charge shot mechanic is used for this weapon. The longer this is held down, the more powerful it becomes.
Once the attack button is pressed down, the weapon starts charging, similar to a bomb. This weapon takes 3s to fully charge, and the longer the charge, the more damage is dealt, and the wider the beam becomes.
The Lance Beam line benefits from a bonus to pure damage.
The Ruin Beam line has a chance of inflicting either fire, freeze, stun, poison, curse or shock - at the expense of 25% damage penalty in comparison with the Lance Beam.

A shotgun sounds totally boss! ~ But would shoot much at a much slower rate than conventional guns.
Kinda like a tri-glav~ Charge-up- and ,,,,,,,,,,,,, ~ BOOM! ~ K.O.- Wow!
Let's see? What would it look like? a - "Sawed off Shotgun?- Or one that is similar to it, with bigger barrels. ^^

Also, would the Ruin Beam have an equal chance to inflict any status, sans sleep?
Rather, a Triglav is Charge-up- and ,,,,,,,, ~ BOOM! Nothing happened!
When you actually compare the number of guns in the game to swords, we actually have more variety in that area...
There are only a few things we are lacking, like piercing AoE guns. Swords just do their job so well that you only need 2 to beat the game.

I'd like a Retrode-styled gun that shoots laser beams on charge. Maybe incorporate it into that shotgun idea that gets tossed around from time to time.
