this is a half rage half suggestion comment on Lockdown. Please make the matchmaking better. Most of the time when I play Lockdown (Tier 2), I end up with a bad team ( one other doing above average damage while the other do less than 1000 damage) and the other team is full of duskers that do at least 2k damage. What I think would make matchmaking more fair is to include average damage, health, armor, and # of bars of connection as a factor. I lost many games because of bad teams or lag. (I do 3k average damage and at least 3 caps each game) I don't feel that it's fair if I get bad team and lose money while doing pretty well.

- Average damage insures that the # of rank points the person has doesn't matter. You can play 24/7, chip up your points ,and still do terrible.

-heath, armor are self-explanitory

Mmm...

Yeah, if you want 30-minute queues instead of 10-minute queues, do this.

Connection-detection is already there, in a way. You select where you're from so that you get localized matches only in the Options menu.

Segregate it less. If you separate it into this many categories, you'll have massive wait times, especially in "low" times of the day.

Don't segregate by HP or Armor. The Tier already does that. Average damage makes more sense, BUT...plenty of people can do over 25K+ Damage each game (T3). Will they be penalized for being good at LD, and never find a party?

Never played T2 LD, but if you say 3K damage is good, then imagine those pros that get 10K damage every game. They'll never find a party.

It's all about relativity.

Unfortunately, I tend to agree.

Back when I was a Swordie striker (with my mule account Kentard) I only dish out 4 to 5k on a toothpick in T2, and that's considered average for the matches I played.
Of course, damage isn't the only factor - my gunner dishes 1 to 2k on T2, but with about 8 captures on average.

Nonetheless, I digress.
While the most logical solution would be to select teams based on average damage, caps, etc., I believe we can continue using that system, with one minor modification:
Completely randomize the teams after every 3 rounds or so regardless of their performance; imbalanced as it may seem it would get rid of the burden of having to play with the 'bad' players for too long; particularly for matches where the disparity between good and bad players are especially large.

some other suggestions

well this is what I was hoping for:

if the difference between good and bad players is huge, put good players equally on bothe teams and bad players equally on both teams. If theres is more underaverage players then make the team with more underaverage players have better averge or overaverage ppl

money

the main reason why i am mad is because I lose so much money playing Lockdown. I think its fun but if I keep losing and it isn't my fault, then I get pretty maad. If the makier could make the enry fee for lockdown cheaper, that would be appreciated.

Really? Hahahaha-

Learn to play LD better, or simply don't have your whole team engage someone you know will decimate your team again and again.
Here's another tip: Never have your team congregate at one point for too long, even when capping points. You'll be an easy meal for Strikers - even gun strikers, mind you. I can decimate a team like that with my Umbra Driver (on T3 though).

Alternatively, get someone to play Guardian (preferably two) and make his killing spree much more difficult.

And can you provide another reason why randomizing teams every 3 games regardless of performance would have to 'pass'? Mind you, with that arrangement you have a higher probability of playing on the same team as that 'good striker'.

if the difference between good and bad players is huge, put good players equally on bothe teams and bad players equally on both teams. If theres is more underaverage players then make the team with more underaverage players have better averge or overaverage ppl.

There is a problem with this, though. Some players may fluctuate in performance from one game to another, so the whole idea of 'good' or 'bad' players becomes highly subjective. This applies to all balancing in PvP games, actually.

Ah, there we go. The 'oh im angry cos i cant win LD cos my team sucks'

I get mad when I join troll party leaders in the Clockworks; I've seen people sabotaging IMF runs on countless occasions. Unfortunately there's no safeguard against stupid people there, so I'll just have to deal with it.
(Also why I play solo in Clockwork levels these days, or call trusted friends.)

As of now, if you are playing LD, understand that you are playing with randoms of questionable skill level, and that the difference between the 'good' and 'bad' players is extremely obvious.
Don't like it? Deal with it and wait it out.

How would one define good and

How would one define good and bad? Damage isn't the point of the game, capping for longer than the enemy team is. And even then, capping once and holding said point for the entire game is better than constantly losing and recapping.

What if I'm a guardian that didn't attack. Or a haze bombing recon. Or a death marking recon. What if I'm a gunner that distracts everyone? You can't judge good/bad by numbers alone.

Just another rage thread on how rng gives them, and only them, the worst players in the game.

Get better. Carry your team. Win that 80cr.
