This might need adding to the wiki, it seems quite important for newies that might not read the forums. Great job putting this out there, Zinqf. I think the damage is related to percentage, from what i read somewhere(on the wiki, i think), with damage bars being percentages. crudgtgsleepbrb

Actually everything in LD disregards "Sonic" mode. This is mostly a PvE mechanic.

I think certain stronger attacks might also disregard that rule, like slag guard charges or trojan smashes. I think I recall getting dragged back into slag range on my last fsc dying with two bars of health. I mainly remembered that because I had the "1-bar health" rule on my mind at that time. Guess I better check it out again.
Edit: Yup, confirmed, stronger attacks can certainly own even with more than one bar. Pity it's not like Sonic. :'(

I actually did test this out on Trojan Smashes in the video at the end. Slag Guard charges on the other hand go through this (its one of the very few exceptions). Alot of other stronger attacks still don't go through such as IMF/Twin Rockets, Gunpuppy Rockets, All Lumbers, Royal Jelly...Vanaduke's Mace Swing xD.

The exceptions are usually placed on monsters that you don't see very often (probably because they forgot to add the damage flag on them). A couple examples are the swarm infested units and the SMALL ice jellies in the Shadow Lairs, but other units in shadow lairs that you see in the clockworks still follow the rule (Like Lumbers, Ice Spiked Jellies, Poison Zombies, etc).

Both games involve Sega as a company, not too sure about it being intentional though. Doesn't matter anyway! I'm going to abuse it by taking proto gear down to Tier 3 and showing it in action.

Just to clarify, this game mechanic existed prior to SEGA becoming affiliated with OOO.

Whatever the extreme specifics or nuances of the relation are, the mechanic still reminds me of such. Nicoya reminds me of how epic it would have been if I used the Sonic Suit costume to do this segment...but I didn't have it xD.
