I have been working hard and upgrading a lot since my last forum post. Please offer suggestions because that is why I am putting it on the forums :)
I will start by giving a list of my stuff...

Swords: FoV, Blizzbrand, Avenger, Faust, TSB, Khovarod, Hammer (3* one), and my proto sword

Now I will describe them all; FoV is tricky to use and I only use it on Jelly runs, Blizzbrand is my new favorite and I use it often for FSC, Avenger was used for FSC but then I died to much... Faust is never used, TSB is rarely used (I have the DTB recipe and will be making it soon!) Khovarod is WAY to slow, Hammer just has a stupid combo and proto is proto.

Guns: Silversix, Strike Needle, Kilowatt Pulsar, Toxic catalyzer, Cryo Driver and my proto gun

Silversix is decent but not very good damage, Strike needle is useless except for vana (thats why I made it) Kilowatt pulsar is fine I guess, Toxic catalyzers bullets are slow and hard to deal with, Cryo driver is sweet very useful for FSC, and proto shall be proto...

I also have 2 bombs being dark retribution 3* and freezing vaporizer mk2 also 3*.

I would like some suggestions about what I should try and what some different weapon choices should be for each type of run (I have 3 weapon slots btw). My helmet is Vog and my armor is Ashtail. I normally run FSC or JK.
Pleas respond and I was also wondering what other people think of the fang of vog, that includes it combo, status and charge, just lookig for opinions on that one. THANKS!

advice

Fang of Vog's regular attacks are mediocre, but its charge attack is awesome. To get the most out of it, you need (A) big charge time reduction, and (B) big fire protection. If you don't have the resources to get those, then put off using Fang of Vog for a while.

I myself prefer Divine Avenger over Glacius and Warmaster Rocket Hammer in FSC. But other people have switched over to Brandishes entirely, especially if they have big charge time reduction. Keep in mind that Combuster is highly effective, even though it doesn't inflict much status in FSC. I don't like WRH much in FSC, because the combo sends me into fire, but maybe I just need more practice.

I can't recommend piercing swords strongly enough. Many of us feel that they are the most overpowered weapons in the game. By the time you get yours to 5-star, you will be addicted to it, and you will enjoy fighting fiends. Do it do it do it.

I could go on to praise your Gran Faust, Argent Peacemaker, Polaris, Blitz Needle, Shivermist Buster, armor/helmet, etc. The simple fact is that you've chosen many of the most popular items in the game, that are popular because they are really good. Just keep upgrading them to 5-star. And don't neglect piercing swords.

Edit: As for which weapons to use on each run: Before you enter a level, figure out what monsters you'll face, and equip appropriately. In RJP, bring your shadow sword, elemental sword, and anything else you like. In FSC, bring your elemental sword, your Blitz Needle, and your Shivermist Buster.

Thanks!

Thanks! Yeah I just ended up getting these weapons and their lower stars because I saw everyone else with them all. I also forgot to mention I have a wyvern scale shield, it works for most thing, and a bristling buckler 2*, got it just for jk really. I just made a master blast bomb, I have found that bombing is quite fun. If you have any video links of how to bomb those would be nice. Also I was wondering if I should make nitro or BAB, I know BAB takes a big hit from the critics but is the damage worth the charge time? Just wondering...

In my eyes : - Swords are ok,

In my eyes :

- Swords are ok, you can use Glacius as main elemental sword, Faust as main shadow sword and DTB as main piercing sword. Upgrading Faust makes the charge slower and won't change a lot its damage for the main usage (RJP) and upgrading DTB won't change a lot of its damage either unless you go in strata 6.

- As for guns, it's not that ok, but not that bad either : if you want to be a gunslinger, definitely upgrade that Toxic Catalyzer to 4* at least. If you want to run FSC a lot, go for Blitz Needle. The damage improvement on Vanaduke and the ability to kill Trojans in one charge in small parties or with damage bonus is worth it.

- For bombs, I guess you are not mainly a Bomber, so it's ok too : I would upgrade that Freezing Atomizer to Shivermist first for FSC. Else, either make a VT for support, or upgrade Nitronome for damage (tho I wouldn't do that last one without a bomber gear)

- Armors are good. You could upgrade the Sunset Duster if you want to gun a lot, but that would not be my first choice.

- Shields are terrible. Dragon Scale Shield is one of the worst shield due to no normal resistance. You should work one that first, unless you are confortable with it. Upgrading Twisted Target provide a great piercing shield for Swordsman. Considering you have a FoV, you should have access to FSC, so Crest of Almire as a shadow shield would be perfect and cheap. And last, Owlite, the ultra popular elemental shield.

So, that's it for my opinion on upgrade. For what to use in each type of run, you are going to need to be more specificon what you are not sure, because I'm not going to list each single run.

okay, I'll bite

Apart from the fact that you've necroed a 2-month-old thread for no reason, why do you recommend Dragon Scale Shield for FSC? And why take two elemental swords? The rest of your stuff is cookie-cutter FSC gear, albeit not at the 5-star level. And the original poster was not just asking about FSC. And why do you recommend Warmaster Rocket Hammer for FSC, but then omit it from your FSC loadout? Oh dear.
