New gimmick! Invisibility field!

So I was playing along, and I ran into a glitch that I posted in bug reports about enemies going into certain areas becoming invisible, but it gave me an idea- what if we had some kind of invisibility field that effected monsters? I had a blast fighting it, so why not make it a gimmick? Chromalisks are disappointingly easy, and the new gremlin recons aren't F2P, so I discount them as enemies. Once you learn where they spawn, its too easy to kill them... and they ALWAYS spawn in the same place on OCH, so its not really a surprise anymore.

Here's how my idea could go-

Option one: Have it effect all enemies. Make it like some kind of large metalic device, and have it in the corners of a large square area (starting in tier 2). Enemies that went into the box formed by the corners would become invisible. It'd spawn randomly in the clockworks, and have its own room.

Option two: Make a new enemy, and have it make other enemies invisible. I'm thinking a new member of the wing family, but that hides a single enemy! Silk-cloak, perhaps? A re-coloration and a new silkwing aura colour would do the trick. Still have the player know when one is about though- don't let it cloak itself. This could be dispersed throughout all kinds of levels.

Option three: Make a new enemy, and have it get hidden by something akin to the statues that trigger invincibility for slags. Essentially, it'd be like an electrical device(though it could potentially be like one of the voodoo statues in design), but then there'd be enemies (probably fiends) that would go about invisible when near it. Nothing else would become invisible for that device. You'd preferably be able to lift up the statue that made them invisible.

Video of the glitch that inspired me, and shameless self promotion: http://youtu.be/8y23dMo3gjI

So what do you guys think?

No to Invisible Trojans O_O

@ 1: So long as the object itself isn't invisible it becomes a little too predictable, but it'd be an interesting mechanic.
I'm not too keen to battle invisible Trojans and Devilites though.

@ 2: Would seem a little more feasible than (1) given that it probably focuses on one enemy at once. Again though, there's the invisible Trojan problem.

@ 3: Perhaps show that there is an invisibility boundary by having enemies entering and exiting to gradually fade in and out respectively.
Otherwise it can get a little disorienting.

There could be totem-like things (spiral radars?) that reveal the enemies on each pulse.
All you'd have to do is carefully carry said 'totem' across the map and place them strategically.

Maybe treasures could be invisible too, so you'd have to play with those to find them.

I like the idea of both

I like the idea of both Cloakwings AND Spiral Heat Sensing Radar Totems. The combination could make for interesting levels! And some rather frantic SUDDEN LUMBER PUNCHES.

Wait, I had this glitch around a month or more ago. It happened in an arena and my other members had it(well most of them). But, my weps, projectiles and EVERY single enemy was invisible.

This sounds good for a class

This sounds good for a class mission (use recon cloak to detect enemies?)

That thread is round here somewhere...
