small snarbolax, could be a rare monster for beast. have 2x versions regular and rabid, both look like snarbolax when its stunned. also have them act similar to alpha wolvers.
snarbolax puppy
Its cute, but I don't want to fight it. I wouldn't mind it making a cameo once or twice, but that's it.
Royal Jelly Minis with Crowns? Miniature Roarmulus Gun Puppies? Miniature Vanaduke?
No.
Wow, I sure hope THAT doesn't go through. The royal minis' brandish-blocking abilities were irritating enough.
I meant to make a topic about this! I guess I'll hijack this one.
So, as a trojan parallel for beasts could be a smaller snarbolax, recolored red or white, minus the constant shield. This monster could very well be our Vog and skolver. The idea is, like a trojan, these Not!Snarbolaxes would appear in beast arena as trojans do for gremlin arenas. This monster would also make a fine addition to the monotonous Wolver Dens and Auroa Isles.
The Not!Snarbolax would retain it's digging, biting, spine-throwing abilities however also causing fire or ice depending on variant and perhaps, tier. The general idea is that:
Tier 1 versions would be equivalent to the snarbolax, having been dazed. It would not be immune to damage, but can bite once as wolvers do, and can dig short distances. Spines would not display where the Not!Snarbolax is, nor would they shoot when it has come back above ground. A spine would be able to be shot similar to a turret. *For challenge, it could be shielded from the front, similar to a trojan*
Tier 2's version would increase spines to have three be shot out, also adding the possibility of an ice or fire status to be obtained from it's attacks.
Tier 3 could return the spines to when Not!Snarbolax digs, it could also increase the spines shot to five. Raising the possibility of status infections seems the way to go. *Returning the 3 bites Snarbolax does would go a ways to adding difficulty, since now it can pierce and cause fire or ice*
In terms of movement, maybe keep it at a combination of a wolver and dazed snarbolax: following you in aiming, digging more with depth progression, being more evasive with depth progression, and being able to flinch with attacks.
With these in mind, I think making a fire or ice variant of the snarbolax as a trojan-esque monster for the beast family would be a nice addition to the clockworks.
No. It is a boss. Fight regular Wolvers.
