Give extra prestige for helping a friend in a mission you've done

I think, that one major problem in the mission series is that for a lot of them, there's no incentive to replay it so that ultimately as time goes on, new players end up having to wait ridiculous amounts of time to wait for someone to do a mission with them.

Therefore, I propose this. If you go on a non-boss mission with someone who hasn't done the mission before, you get double or triple the prestige because you're helping someone and you're not getting the reward items for doing it.

That... is a good idea! This gets my vote. But what is you join a mission that you haven't done before and still aren't able to do?

I would go in the opposite direction. Rather than double and triple, give 50/25%. of the original prestige.

Exploitable

You get the heat, items and money from the run; only the one-time reward is not given upon repeating the mission.

The prestige reward for helping friends would be between 10-25% of the original value since you already got the normal prestige. I would comment on why getting more than the base value is selfish but I just got out of a horrible Vanaduke run. Peacemaker is not a substitute for Blitz for no-neck.

The heat items and money is

The heat items and money is not incentivizing because if you wanted that you can easily make double or triple that just doing the vanaduke mission (which everyone does).

If somone chooses to do a previous mission, you are choosing to forgo a lot of potential money you could make instead thus the prestige reward needs to be high so that people will actually do them to make up for this loss.

I've recently finished up all of them and I can confidently tell you it will be even worse than what I had to deal with as time goes on. No one would want to do those missions especially those stupid ones for 10 prestige (I mean, would you spend 20-40 energy for 10 prestige at the loss of about 500 crowns or more that you would have made just running vanaduke?) which would be the end result if we go with Juances or Luguiru's ratios. Also, it's very difficult to exploit this if done correctly. You just make it so that once a person clears a mission, he no longer counts as "newb" for all of his three characters.

Otherwise, if this situation goes on, it's just going to be miserable for all these new players because once you reach the tier 2 missions, you really need someone to go with you or it's just going to be difficult and quite frankly unpleasant which will likely prevent them from playing more.

You're missing the point. Giving such a huge prestige award would allow it to be farmed. A high-prestige player goes around with an elevator pass and helps everyone he can possibly find with thier missions. Sure this would be nice for some players, but he is getting a gratuitous amount of prestige. The 10-25% is so that there is still a prestige incentive, but it's not farmable.

Diabound said, "If somone chooses to do a previous mission, you are choosing to forgo a lot of potential money you could make instead thus the prestige reward needs to be high so that people will actually do them to make up for this loss. "

Even if it is made possible for people to farm old missions for prestige, they are likely to lock the party than to open it and allow for random newbies to come in. And if newbies are indeed allowed to join, they are likely to join after the lobby and thus unable to complete the mission.

Therefore this argument of attracting high tier players to help with new players is most of the time invalid.

Guild and Friend system are in place for that. New players ask old players for help, who would spend time away from the most profitable missions to lend a friend a helping hand.

This change here will not to help new players, but let prestigious knights get even more prestige.

If you want to help newbies, just go and help them. That fuzzy warm feeling in your heart, when you see them play much better and eventually enter T3 and slay Vana for the first time, is your reward.

My drowsy take

I agree with this system, if placed at 50-75% the original points.

The line of thought Evilnut brings up of, Player X getting a boosted Prestige because they invite players Y and R who haven't done the mission, can be solved like such:
New player A needs help on a mission, they make an open party in the lobby and vanguard-player B joins. At the end of the mission, player A receives the expected 150 prestige points and as a result, player B, who had already completed the mission, gets 112 to 75 prestige points.
That would mean:
If Player B invites player A to join post-lobby, neither would gain prestige.
If Player B joins player A post-lobby, player B would not gain prestige.

As it stands, there is no reason for someone to replay a mission unless to help someone else, in which the only 'unique' thing they take away is that satisfaction of helping others. Boss and mini-boss missions exempted. This system would give another incentive to take away in addition to the previous.
Yes, this would let prestigious knights get more prestige, but the only way for this to happen is to be with someone who'd never done that mission before. So the 'new' player would still get help getting through the mission, just now the non-new player will get a little boost as well.

Also, an elevator pass could be equally used to run through both missions and clockworks to get a large amount of crown, heat, and tokens. I don't see why someone running around doing the levels missions provide, helping unlock more missions for other knights to be such a bad thing. Not like there's a prestige market or anything.

As an aside, I already (try, face it, I'm a pretty bad player) help friends and guild members if they ask (and it's not just for a revive).
