Plug it in with the same usb cord you use on the console. If it doesnt work straight in, just google "ps3 sixaxis drivers" or something like that.

This is not the right place to ask, and I dont know if I can give you a direct link here.

I downloaded a program called motioninjoy that allows my computer to recognize the controller but it doesn't do anything in SK. Just hoping someone who has done this already can help out.

Probably a silly question but did you set it up via controls in the game? Works fine for me.

It gave me no different options other than the normal stuff. Do I use that somehow to set it up?

Use Joy2Key instead. That

Use Joy2Key instead. That allows you to map the PS3 buttons to keystrokes, allowing you to just use the default keys without having to do anything else special in the game's config. For example, if you wanted Cross (X) to attack, you could map the Cross button to Keyboard Key Z.

I use a sixaxis to play spiral sometimes, but I cant really give you too much advice on drivers since I'm a linux user. Works quite well with movement bound to the left stick and rotating bound to the right. I use R1 as attack and L2/R2 as weapon switch.
