As stated in the title I'm asking the devs to consider changing the hunting blade series to pierce. The main reason for this is that the dread venom striker series is much better overall and you can posibly add a beast medium to youre dread venom and BOOM it becomes a hybrid blade. If you add pierce to the hunting blade series then it would make it much more useful on a plethora of things such as trojans and still maintain its beast damage.

No, it would be too powerful, and the Rapier series is made for that.

I don't use it, so I can't really say anything.

But I DO find it a little sad how a weapon made SPECIFICALLY for a monster type can be so easily outclassed by another weapon due to not catering to the weakness of the specified monster (Rocksalt*cough)

Although it is true, if you made it piercing, it would be more like the flourish line and depending on the eventual damage output, could replace them.

Perhaps it's so you have a better chance fending off beasts while still able to effectively fight any constructs in the stage? Like lumbers that occasionally turn up in a Wolver Den?

Make it deal Normal/Piercing

Make it deal Normal/Piercing instead, and you'll have my vote.

Pure damage swords are redonkulously powerful, and if this line does pure pierce, it'll greatly outclass the Dread Venom Striker. Make it Normal/Pierce, and weaken the damage a bit, and it'll still keep the Dread Venom Striker as somewhat viable of an option.

mustve explained it wrong

I just want the hunting blade to do pierce damage instead of the beast medium. I never intended the thought of making it full pierce like a floursih, just adding pierce on top of the normal damage. of course as people above were saying before if the devs do add pierce they have to watch out for the potential of this being overpowered. To be realistic the hunting blade isnt that good at its current state and the devs do need to do something to differentiate it from the dread venom striker.
