So i've had a few ideas, might be worth it.

-beserker shield adds asi low, ctr low, and damage low. Berserker shield would act similar to striker, but give short bursts of these increases.

-thumper shield
Thumper would finally push the enemy away, but you can only push every so often. It pushes like normal PvsE, but breaks upon push, recharge time medium to slow

-glue shield
Grab ahold of your opponent and drag them, untill they smash your shield, and shortly after, your face.

Just thought it would be interesting to see at least one of them implemented

LOL

Imagine when you use Glue Shield in the crowded of zombie. The Glue Zombie is not pushing but drag the zombie more closer to you. And then the zombies will smash your shield until broken.

Conclusion is...

Glue Shield = Too dangerous to implement.

But.. you need to know the shield will automatically replace with Lockdown Gear when playing Lockdown. So.. Shield is just useless in lockdown.

@Aplauses

I think what he means by these shields in Lockdown is that they're usable with new, different classes.

@OP:
-Berserker Shield: "act similar to striker" Does this mean it'll also have the dashing ability or just look similar? Without the dash, I don't see this being used.

Thumper Shield: Another one I don't see anyone using... It breaks upon push so it's a one-time-use shield for a gunner/bomber, or an escape mechanism. Striker Dash would work just as well. Maybe if a stun was added it might be worthwhile.

Glue shield: Not sure if trolling. 'Nuff said.

Ouh..... ...... ...

@ Damienfoxy

Can you just say "New class" instead of just say "New Shield".. You are confusing me. @_@

The thumper shield would have

The thumper shield would have the same regen as the striker booster. So it's still able to be used if you stay alive. But i like the idea of stun, but might be op.

I also should have mentioned that berseker would be T1 only.

And the glue shield would encourage teamwork, providing your team can actually WORK

If I may post an idea.

What about a jumper shield?

Has the same recharge time as guardian shield.
ASD med
CTI low
MSI med

For your shield you RANDOMLY switch places with a teammate. Uses three quarters charge.

@Damienfoxy

Glue shield still seems like a trollish idea :/ Even if teammates help, the guy you pull in will be gutting you alive.

Allowing certain classes/shields in LD to be limited by Tier is insane. You want people to be able to learn how to play as they upgrade their gear, not have to relearn a new system once they reach certain thresholds.

I know, stun could be a bit OP, but considering a single bump breaks the shield entirely, it's gotta have more of a benefit than giving you a 1/2 second of protection. Doesn't have to be stun, but it needs something :P

@Mk-Vl: Yeah, randomly switch places with someone about to land a kill because you want to get to the next point faster. I see a lot of trolling that would come with this :/

Hm

I dunno...the OP ideas seem a little trollish to me...for LD anyway.

@Mk: The use of that shield would invoke a LOT of trolling. You could run to some shadow fire, 'port then laugh as your teammate runs into the fire like a noob and dies.

That, or you're getting crowd smashed, 'port out and watch your teammate recoil in surprise as he/she suddenly gets swarmed by the enemies that were once going for you.

Warping might work, if it's

Warping might work, if it's restricted to a grid based on the nearest enemy. You'd only be able to change spots NEAR them, not flee

What about...

A spin-off of the striker, when you hit the shield button, you have a huge lance infront of you and same as striker except the guage runs out much faster.
