Before you say it...
I know.

And...
No need to mention it...
...and I know that too.

I'm going to suggest it anyways: can we have shield costumes?

Can we also have Shield Accessories? I have a few ideas, though no art:

  • Holographic crests (like the Ironmight and VPS)
  • Shield glow (like the GOS or SSB)
  • Attached blades (like the Aegis)
  • Hexagonal force field addons (like the Blazebreak)
  • Fire generator (like the Dragon Scale Shield)
  • Attached crown (like the Royal Jelly Shield)

What do you think?

Thinking is too difficult

The subject for this post is false.

What do I think? I think someone is hiding under my bed at night and playing with an old lizard puppet I had when I was younger. It keeps appearing on my dresser, staring at me when I wake up.

When it comes to costume equipment, the best way to support the idea is to provide art examples. Does that mean you have to? No, but it would substantially help the thread; costumes are only cosmetic, meaning they are only significant in appearance. This means their appearance is important. The question for cosmetics is not "should we have it or not"; the question is "should it look like this".

We'd need one accesory class for each shield type. Their size, pattern, shape, etc varies a lot. It's not the same as armor or helms.

The only thing I see universally fitting are auras/glows.

Costume Slot

Shields would have a costume slot like armor does. That way, if you don't think your shield matches your armor, you can use another shield in your arsenal as a costume. Art examples would be redundant.
