Okay, this is one of my favorite swords, if not my favorite in this game.
As we know, Levithan Blade out damages it, even towards undead. So why would anybody want to use a CIV over a Levi?
Make the Cold Iron Vanquisher have a chance to cause freeze via charge attack!
Come'on! Even the name, COLD IRON Vanquisher implies that it could do some sorta chilly damage.
I'm worried freeze would remove the knocback.
This can be bad, because you'd trap yourself in the middle of a circle of unmovable enemies or too good since you'll deal full damage easily.
I'm pretty sure the CIV's supposed to outdamage the Levi ONLY on undead, otherwise the Levi's stronger.
As for a freeze ability...
I think to solve this, it should be a delayed-action freeze-haze. Your attack completes, then a short moment later, a freeze effect takes hold up to a certain distance from the user. That way it stops you from getting trapped, and also hinders your ability to deal full damage to a frozen target. Perhaps at Retrode-laser delayed-speed?

As for freeze and shock, I've wondered if it should just be enough that the monsters can't move themselves rather than negating knockback. Might make freeze weapons safer, but then again break the shock utility of the electron vortex and so on
Do the current freeze/shock physics 'feel' right?
Yes, it needs to be rebalanced. What are you going to do about it? Wait for someone else to do it? Request someone else do it in a thread where someone is rebalancing stuff? Do it yourself? Do it yourself?
Hm, I like that freezing haze idea.
Either way, make it do freeze in some sorta way, so that way it is not a re-skinned, weakened, leviathan blade.
yeah i agree, i would like to use the sword more but i feel as it is unbalanced from the others. It claims to have damage vs. undead at High but still seems weak. Still looks cool though.
