Alright, i have been thinking on some new boss ideas, but i only had very simple concepts for them, but anyway, here they go:
First idea: "the two tinkinzars and the swarm." You are problay confused by the "two tinkinzars" mentioned, its very simple: there was the king tinkinzar and his son, before the knights landed in cradle, the two were having some serious problems, so, in the end, tinkinzar (son) fought and defeated his father, claiming the throne, claiming that the gremilins needed a powerful leader, not a soft-hearted engineer, the new king tinkinzar locked his father in the core, to protect the swarm. The swarm was supposed to be a "creature" that was capable of restoring and creating envoirments, but someone corrupted the project and turned it into a weapon (with disastrous results), so they locked it deep into the core, that is a giant generator. But inside the core, there is the fourth tier (T4), that is a smaller version of the clockworks made to contain the most dangerous creatures. In the deepest level of the core, there is the containing chamber of the swarm. But to enter it, you need two things: the two keys. The first one is with king tinkinzar (son), and it can open the core, but when combined with the old tinkinzar's key, it can open the swarm. Having to defeat the mad king, and duel with the elder gremilin to prove your worth and go to the heart of the problem.
So... in order to fight the swarm you first have to:
Defeat the king (T3 boss) -then-> defeat tinkinzar (T4 boss) - so you can-> defeat the swarm (CORE boss.)
After you defeat them, you can go back to your homeplanet (and back to haven if you want), and possibly the other planets (the clockworks' levels are made from pieces of other planets, right?)!
Second idea: after the knights return, the high leaders of the knights' order decide to make various tests, to see how strong the knights have become. There would be a three options to take the challenges:
1- take the challenges one by one, fighting four knight minibosses and then a higher-ranked knight boss.
Minor ladder:
-A random knight
-bosco and his mecha knight
-kozma
-brinks
-Bechamel (champion)
Medium ladder:
-a "guardian" knight
-a randomly chosen knight from the hall of heroes
- wegner (the guy who gives info about minerals
- that guy from the training hall
- kora (champ)
High ladder:
- the spiral warden
- barrus
-that guy that helps you in the new rescue camp missions
-vaelyn (she takes care of the group that stays in the core)
-feron (champ)
"royal" ladder:
- 1st to 4th slots are occupied by memebers of the alpha squad or new characters.
- the queen (the king's wife, and also helped to create the order.)
- the king (the creator of the spiral order)
2- take the whole ladder (or the tower in this case(. You would have to fight each knight, one by one, only being able to heal after defeating a champion, if you quit the challenge, you would have to do it from the start.
3- fight the knights one by one, but being able to quit and go back to the floor you were before.
The players would be able to organize their own tournaments aswell.
So... what do you guys think? Any suggestions, problems or typos in my idea?
Lore, story, et cetera; what was that about a fourth tier and going back to the home planet? No.
NPC knights are not there to test our combat ability. In fact, most of them are just there for the sake of being there. I am not going to address the lack of any combat mechanics on these "enemies".
Large posts do not equal good content. Imagine a pizza two feet in diameter but has no toppings other than cheese and a few scattered pepperoni and the crust is about as thin as your fingernails; that is what this thread is.
