I noticed the 2nd swing of the Avenger does critical damage to mini jellies. Why is that? I tested the same thing on other mobs but the 2nd swing didn't do much on others.
Elemental swords
Basically a damage display error of some sort; I'd assume mini-cubes just still have an old damage-display table of Slimes (elemental used to crit before implementation of the current tables, and the mini-cubes were introduced at this time.)
The wiki says the royal minis are of the jelly family or maybe they are a "mo type" class.
Not royal minis, the normal mini jellies that spawn all throughout RJP, not just the boss. Oddly enough the green mini jellies have current damage display numbers. Also, the mini jellies are just weird mobs in general, like how they are immune to all but the initial explosion of DR.
how they are immune to all but the initial explosion of DR.
And DA / GF flying p****es, i mean, energy beams.
At the risk of being pedantic, how do you know that DA does critical damage to these mini-jellies? Are you looking at the numbers, or only the colors? The colors are notoriously buggy, whereas the numbers are not buggy, as far as I know.
The colours and the numbers...
My theory, is that they were made that way on purpose along with the jelly king... Then they changed the jelly king, but forgot the minis.
I should note this also applies to void slimes.
The gold numbers show up but they aren't taking any extra damage. My Umbra was doing more damage to them than my Storm, but the Storm's numbers were showing up gold while the Umbra was blue.
Just a glitch is what I'm assuming.
mini jellies aren't a jelly, they're some other creature type. The spiral wiki might elaborate but I've noticed that i deal the same elemental damage numberwise to jellies and mini's but mini's get the numbers in gold while I deal less shadow damage to minis than I do to regular jellies.
