Hi,

I'm not a big forum poster, so I probably won't reply to this thread unless a question for clarification is asked.
I have been noticing that noone uses the big angry bomb. So i suggest that an a-typical buff be implemented for it. My idea is that the bomb be turned into a multi-stage bomb that works per the following:
1) Pulls in enemies to the center like the graviton bombs, but short lived.
2) The bomb then explodes in 3 successive blasts each one being more powerful and having a larger radius than the last. The final blast could be left as the blast it has now.

I have a few details thought out, but I'm not sure about how balanced it will be. For the implosion stage, I'm thinking a radius should be the same or slightly larger then the graviton vortex. The 1st blast should be about 1/2 the power and range of the current 3rd blast's. The 2nd blast should have 2/3 the power and range of the 3rd. Finally, the last blast should be the only one with knockback.

Just my 2 bits on this.

Uhhh...

Isn't that one of the bombs that distracts players because of the massive explosion that gets in the way of their view?
If so, then I would not like it to do 3 successive blasts.

I personally use Big Angry for shenanigans. It was designed to have less mobility and a one second longer charge time than the standard five seconds while having enormous knockback, imagine one Big Angry covering three Alchemer users in a corner. It has more damage per hit per target than Nitronome but lacks in blast radius, fuse time, charge time, and mobility while charging; the user is not supposed to be running around while using it. It was supposed to be a punch to the face while Nitronome is a poke, though significantly lacks in its intent.

The suction mechanic of Graviton/Electron lines is supposed to be exclusively for their own mechanic, not create a whole new mechanic for something just because people do not like it as much.

For this to be balanced we need damage rates for the two preceding blasts assuming the third is the same as the existing explosion damage. Since you have not done the math in spite of fractions given I will do it for you, just this once:

The following assumes the user is on D29 against a neutral target with no damage buffs.

B(last)1:
Base / 2 = 258 / 2 = 129

B2:
Base (2) / 3 = (258 * 2) / 3 = 172

B3:
258

Accumulative:
129 + 172 + 258 = 559

Assuming the first and second blasts do not knockback, this is the most unbalanced rebalance I have ever read; with the same knockback on all three blasts is one of the most unbalanced rebalances. The suction effect only makes the balancing worse as it steals the main mechanic of Graviton/Electron and deals significantly more damage.

Hmm.

If I may suggest an idea for the balance if it does 258 dmg up that to 260-290 with a random chance of getting any number in there but make the monsters have the wolver attack bonus after getting hit (because they are angry of course).

I'ma bomber, but what ur suggesting will destroy the very notion of "balance" in this game.

No It needs to stay the same.

No It needs to stay the same. EXCEPT a little after the shown radius of the bomb, it should have a knockback without damage. Like if the wind is pushing the knight.

Buffing the Big and the Angry?

I would propose giving it a good chance to cause strong stun. Given how strong this bomb is, its massive force should be able to knock the wind out of its victims (applying stun status). I think this would be a good way to attract attention towards this bomb, also making it the first 5* damage-oriented bomb to cause status. Would this be a good idea?
