Dual Weilding of Light pistols

I personally think it could be an idea to add Dual weilding pistols to the game. I'm not sure yet if this will be appropriate with heavy based pistols such as the Callahan or something along the lines of the Polaris. The attack speed would have to be decreased in both of the weapons or the doubling speed would be too OverPowered for the NPC's - thus making it too easy to farm on levels and speed kill NPC's. Maybe the antigue would be an advisable weapon for this idea, or a lighter pistol that does minor shock/stud DMG. Please no bad comments, this is just a suggestion - If you think this is a good idea, please post more on this and your opinions leave in the comments. if you however have something bad to say about this idea, leave it to yourself, not on this post.

Thanks,
Please give me new ideas to post!

The suggestions forum is a place to suggest AND DISCUSS new ideas.

First, there have been threads on Dual wielding before. That's why we have a search bar.

Second, they've mostly been shot down, due to their use involving the discarding of shields to stop them from being OP.

Third, do not EVER ask people not to post -1 posts on your thread. The whole purpose of this section of forum is to gather a small portion of public opinion to find things people WANT implemented.

To the idea itself:
At present, you haven't really stated how this would help anyone. You said the attack speed is decreased, but does that mean it's compensated by alteration of fire between the guns? How will it benefit anyone if dual wielding leaves you with the same stats as using the weapon alone? There are currently no pros OR cons.

Well, this was a newly

Well, this was a newly developed idea I literally just though of, It has only just popped into my mind, so I haven't had much time to think of any PROS, the cons for the moment would have to be the attack speed decrease but another idea to counter this CON would be to have the DAMAGE rise by 1.2x to even out the PROS and CONS. Disguarding of shields is a VERY important part to the shoot down of this idea. they would, therefore have to think of a new way to switch from dial weilding to shield bearing. This does however 'sort of' destroy my idea, with the whole idea of the disguarding of sheilds. however, to sort of put light at the end of the tunnel, if you had a gun with a knockback, (that didn't have to be charged to activate the knockback) it could be quite powerful with 2x knockback and would be quite helpful.

Thanks for your help!
I will take note of these comments in future.

Keep in mind

That the main reason for wanting to keep the shield is it's near CRITICAL role in gameplay. You WILL die a horrible death of you can't shield unless you have super-reaction time and a great connection. Whether it be a status trap, a haze trap, a trojan attacking you or just one of those things you really REALLY can't avoid, you're fscked if you have no shield.

Although to be honest, the discarding of a shield only while the dual wield is in use is a new point not yet discussed. Although I still don't think it'll have a good reception.

Also, you may wanna remove the 'no negative comments plz' from your OP. If you thought the first part of my post was bad in terms of rage, it's NOTHING to what some of the others can get like if they see that.

If you catch them in a bad mood. Some will probably just be sarcastic. But you're new here, and you don't want to start making bad first impressions.

@Demotaasd

Nightblade is a single sword and always has been. Where're you getting the dual wielding from?

....

Possibly the scabbard which the knight holds in his/her shield hand, or the fact that the Nightlblade series looks like a light sword (that isn't a toothpick) and is more likely to be able to D.W.

You sound like a fairly reasonable bunch of people discussing dual wielding.
