Suggestion 1.
Alliance GLD (or smaller teams)
It can be hard for Guilds to get six people ready for LD. Even then they do, they have to wait for another team to forum. Alliance guilds (like in Guild Wars) would make it easier. Make it so we can have an alliance with a guild. When you have an alliance, when you form a GLD team people from either guild can join the team. This makes it so it only takes 3 people from each guild.

Since I know that can be a big update, It would easier to make it so that GLD can start with smaller teams. Just like in normal LD, GLD should be able to start with 4 person team.

Suggestion 2.
Map Voter
It would be cool that if at some point people could vote for which map they wanted to play. Instead of it being completely random. You can make it free to vote or you can make it so the vote cost 1 Energy to cast. (everyone limmited to one vote). This is a rough idea, better suggestions to how this could work would be appreciated.

Suggestion 3.
Friend Play
The Problem
This is quite tricky. The reason is, people would try to abuse this. 1. By letting their friends win so they can get easy tokens. 2. Letting their friends win so they can get easy rank points. To avoid this, make it a set amount (or none at all). I don't see giving both teams 1 token per game being to much of a problem. The rank points would be the reduction or none. Another reason to avoid this is make no capture limit. Make it a pure timed event.
The Works
I see it working one of two ways. 1. You can forum a team and when your friends go to the join a team screen they see a join friend option. That could get quite messy (to many friends making individual teams). The second and better way. Make it so when you start a Friends Team, you load into the waiting room before every LD game. Here you can click on your name, and change teams if you would like. Now, to start the game, you can either make it so everyone in the party has to be on the elevator, or you can make one of those gates that don't open until requirements are met. (once the gate is down no further changes can be made)

Suggestion 4.
Death Match Mode
Same maps as LD. cut out the bases. add random spawn points on the map. (respawn points don't spawn with enemies nearby) Joining is like BN. Free for all, Team, Or Guild options. Point of the game? Accumulate the most kills. The top right corner will keep track of the kill count. (suggestions on this would be nice) My suggestion is show the top 2 players, and have a third one that shows your personal count.

Review

1 - If you have any connections at all, you can borrow players. This would really just be an extra feature that makes me un-able to visit other guilds for GvG, since it would be easier to just click a button. And I like visiting.

2 - This is often the case in other games, but I really don't agree with it. Certain maps lend to certain classes and play styles, and most players can't afford to make a new loadout for every map. Making players PAY for votes is terrible - the richest players will be bending the maps to their wills. I'd like to see a few maps improved on/massively changed, but we shouldn't just be running from them.

3 - Making your own games that you can lock like parties would probably work better. You'd be able to review applicants, etc, as well as invite people. As for the farming thing, I can imagine people doing this with guilds, but they haven't.

4 - So it's just like LD (mad dash for kills/damage) but without capturing. Guardians would be massively underpowered. Recons slightly so. I'd really like to see kill/death based PvP in some form, but LD is already kill-death, with a bit of strategy on the side. You're just simplifying it. What I find kinda weird is how no one has actually made much of an effort to establish minigames within LD; it could make quite the sandbox.

1. If connections were easy, a problem wouldn't exist.

2. I can see your point, but only few people actually have set ups for certain maps.

3. Its easier to get friends to help with that then 12 people.

4. If guardians and recon were underpowered, everyone would use striker. Yes they make good support classes, but they also serve as offensive classes. Death match, two strikers fighting it out. One striker wins. The other gets sniped by a recon who sneaks up on him. Recon throws down a bomb, shocks everyone, and then uses GF or DA to finish off victims. Like a spider in a net. Guardians. Unless they draw serious hate, it LD they get taken down by multiple people wailing on their shield. In a death match that person trying to take down his shield can be an easy snipe. The thing about comparing LD to Death match, its easy to know where someone is going to be. On a death match mode, you have no priority, so you can camp a corner of the map without worrying about losing cause your not capturing bases. The real beauty is the free for all. In teams, its easy to cheaply move in groups. Not so much in a death match ffa.

But. maybe you will like the idea of a challenge button? Where you can challenge anyone to a battle while in the arcade of haven. Of course there will have to be an option in the settings to disable challenge request. Dont want people just sitting there annoying everyone by sending them request. Maybe even a stack option.

I would just like to see a way i can play friends without worrying about that other guy on their team who is super crazy good.
