Hi everyone. Im having problems with camera axis in SK, ex. sudden attacks(retrode attacks, turret bullets, trojan rushes) coming from unseen places that camera doesnt show us with this camera axis. I have an idea to solve this problem.
In my idea there are 3 camera types that can be changed from options:

1-Static Camera
This is default SK camera that we're using now.

2-Driving Camera
This camera type follows knights from back.

3-Mobile Camera
This camera type has a changeable axis that user can change axis with mouse and keypad.
(All cameras can be zoomed in and out)

If you say "You can make resolution bigger and get rid of this problem" you're right too but this can make game more enjoyable and u can ss better pics. And idk theres other threads that about camera axis so you dont have to rage and say "There's still a thread about it"

ehhh...idk

camera 2 and 3 would give such a big advantage and disadvantage too.
doing the patch would change the game style entirely.
too risky so i cant say that we have the "same point of view" saw what i did there?
(im sooo funny:P)
anyway just change the resolution...works for me

There're some issues here...

2. This is essentially following the mouse when you consider what most players use. In the case of arrow key movement it would be confusing, as well. If the camera follows the mouse, it could potentially be quite frustrating as you would have to move the mouse to the center of the screen to stop the camera's movement, and the mouse could not be fixed in the center of the screen in a game like this; it'd be quite hard to aim guns.

3. This is a possible feature, but a fair amount of the game would have to be rethought. Also, one would have difficulty quickly switching cameras; most of the keys that are convenient to me are already in use for weapon switching or other stuff. While this wouldn't have a massive effect on PvE it would be pretty revolutionary for PvP; currently, attacking from the bottom is a legitimate strategy, and so is hiding below an enemy player. This would create some issues for recons, because if we had significant enough camera range, we could look around for them and whenever they became visible you could tell where they were.

Oh, and generally, SK encourages players to fight from the bottom up; eventually you'll learn to stay below monsters.

Some things are 2d images instead of 3d models, specially designed to look decent from a bird's eye view. Some other things are designed from one side and would look 'empty' from behind.

The only thing we may get without ruining such things is a (small) zoom control.

Well...

The game actually lets you see the back of things if you're in the exact right position, but sometimes such places are unreachable, so they're able to get away with it. As for the 2-D objects, what ones are there besides the backgrounds to levels? Those would have to be redone... but every time I check if something is 2-D I find that it's not.

Actually, if anyone here has

Actually, if anyone here has played Alien Swarm, the camera centres on the curser and it works just fine.

Defenitely should be toggleable though. This would be very offputting to be a sudden change.

mini-jellies are 2d, materials, low res crowns and heat.....

I've seen stuff on low res, but that's intentional. Didn't know about mini jellies though, but I can definitely see how this is possible. I don't think it'd take too much time to make them 3D tho.

I just want the top-down

I just want the top-down camera during the Vana mask phase and Roarmulus fight to apply to the entire game. Lockdown, at least.
