Hey!

I've been thinking of this stuff for some time and I thought I might write it here. Hopefully they are good suggestions and most people would agree on them, write here what you think of it!

--- More special enemies in clockworks --
I find it sad that enemies like Tortodrone aren't available anymore. Gold Trojans and so looked fun too. Run, run! Sure there's Love Puppy, Soul Jelly and Impostocube. They come along once in awhile, and then it's suddenly over. The Tortodrone looked more challenging and fun to fight, and lasted longer. It would be fun to see more enemies that would spice things up and make things more interesting with more appearances. I can get that if the enemies show up a lot, then the rare factor would rule out and it might just become a regular thing. But it would be fun to see enemies like Tortodrone that offer a challenge and still would be at least less rare to see, at least compared to the chance of the current rare enemies.

--- Increase cr output in T3 levels so they are balanced with Vanaduke mission ---
From my experience, other T3 levels except the Vana levels give out a lot less. This makes people mostly just run Vana mission, and not explore other T3 clockwork levels. If the cr output would be buffed up a bit in those levels so they would be something similar or a bit less compared to Vana levels, there would be more diversity in what people would play and more fun. A counter argument I think I've seen is if you find Vana mission boring, then don't play it. Well ok, but why do you think most people do it anyway? They do it because of the cr. And with the cr then they could pimp out their arsenal or whatever they want to buy, which makes it fun at that point. I do find Vana mission to still be fun to play, but it gets a bit boring after so many times.

--- Option to switch between players LD ---
Well I've seen a lot of unbalance in teams. T2 example: Other team is full dusker, and the other is 1-2* gear. So when I get in a team that's good geared in T2 like me, it's really boring to play against a team that's so underpowered. Since the system only shuffles in that tier, the team could go either way or get a decent balance. Anyway the thing I'm suggesting here is that each player has one switch player request (this to avoid people spamming to switch between players). The request would be like the trade request, you right-click on the player in the other team and select "Switch with player..." or something like that. Then that person that got the request decides to accept it if he wants to or no. If he does, they switch between the teams and the player that got the request also lost his one switch request, so he doesn't switch again. Another way would be to balance according to * of items, that would also make LD more balanced. Many new players just join to have fun with gear that's in between tiers. That makes them land in a tier that isn't really their full gear and the imbalance happens.

--- Trojan Disguise and Love Puppy Disguise, remove after 30 days expire time ---
I think a lot more people would want these costumes if they didn't expire in 30 days. It feels a bit silly that it does when compared to all other costumes that don't.

Ouh ok. Gold trojan look

Ouh ok.

Gold trojan look interesting
I agreed. Maybe it should be a rare monster same like Love Puppy does.

Increase Tier 3 crown output
Maybe I can consider about this.

Switch player in Lockdown
- If strong people doesn't want to accept your request and decide to team with strong people, then it will change nothing.
- It already balanced. 0/1 star in Tier 1 match, 2/3 star in Tier 2 while 4/5 star in Tier 3. If you want to make that everybody wear a same weapon and armour, then it will make Lockdown more bored. What's the point for you getting stronger weapon while you can't use it on Lockdown?

Remove 30 days expire times
Lol I agree with this. It really annoying. It seems like Spiral Knight want us to waste our money buying those useless custom.

What would happen if a golden trojan spawns in an arena or any other room where you have to kill everything to continue.
Same for tortodrone, it's biiiiiiig.

Those enemies need their own rooms/levels, you cant spawn them everywhere like an impsotocube or love puppy.

About Gold Trojans it was an example. They would be interesting to encounter, but my point was more that meeting challenging creatures like Tortodrone or the like would be fun, or Gold Trojans. It would spice up things. They should be a bit less rare to encounter, so maybe one could expect them from time to time.

The example I put on increasing T3 crown output is based on some experiences I've had. If you've ever done T3 Fiend levels fully, you'd see that the amount of crowns they drop is way below one would expect, if you compare it to Vana levels that's same depth or similar. I'm not saying there should be a super big increase, but at least some increase so it would attract some players to play that too.

I'm aware of the problem that they wouldn't want to do that, but I still think quite a few would. I would, and from what I've heard of people talking about the teams and such some others would do too. Well, I just did some T3 LD today. Other team was full Skolver set, Heart Trinkets, Gran Fausts and Final Flourishes. Needless to say our team compared to theirs wasn't balanced, even if you say LD is already so. It is to an extent, as it is comprised into tiers. But there's still a huge gap between 4* and 5*, 2* to 3*. I'm not sure about 0* to 1* though. Just think about this: The other team is in Skolver Set, they have Gran Fausts and Final Flourishes. The other team is sitting on Blizzbrand, Mighty Cobalt Armor, Ash Tail and barely Heart Trinkets or something like that. I'm not sure but the Final Flourishes seems to have more range compared to some of its predecessors also. So that team is so much underpowered, that I wouldn't call it balanced really. I guess it's possible to test this too. Try going in with a 4* of everything and no Health Trinkets (or maybe one or two 2* or the like), against someone with full Skolver Set, Gran Fausts and Health Trinkets. Yeah. And in LD people are pretty much wearing the same thing, almost. In T2, top players are usually wearing Dusker Set. Which makes them dominate. T3 is Gran Fausts and Skolver. Or some similar variations. Of course you should be able to use a stronger weapon, I'm not against that. But with the switch player feature, people would still be wearing varying degrees of gear and be able to switch, and balance a team. That is if that person is willing of course, so it's not certain. Some would, maybe less wouldn't. I'm not sure. It would provide a choice of a more fair game at least.

Yeah, it seems really unnecessary that it should expire after 30 days, when all other costumes don't. It's not worth it buying that costume if one would want to wear it.

I guess that would be an exception where the Gold Trojan won't respawn. Or that it would disappear if last standing. I can think of a couple of different solutions, not sure which one would be the best though.

The Tortodrone is big, but not big enough to make it impossible to fight against in an arena room. If it would spawn with others, it would just get hindered by other enemies when trying to get to you by getting stuck at them? Similar to how Undead get stuck sometimes or jump into their own. Also the Tortodrone has to be hit to get activated, so it could be taken care of last if it would do rushes that would hit enemies against you instead of getting blocked. Usually there's good room to backtrack and kite enemies, so it wouldn't be that of a problem. With them also being a bit less rare than others rare enemies, it still wouldn't spawn everywhere all the time in the game. If it would spawn in a really little room, it would make for an interesting encounter heh.

I'm looking at the tortodrone

I'm looking at the tortodrone page, and it says they shoot rock missles. Basically the same thing as RT, where missiles fly from the sky to land on you. Being blocked by other enemies doesn't seem like a problem there.

"--- Increase cr output in T3 levels so they are balanced with Vanaduke mission ---"
This only contributes to the cr inflation in the economy. Not sure if you wanted to solve it, but lowering fsc payout to other T3 floors would make things even, so to speak.

The LD change seems unnecessary. It would only work with really nice people/people looking for high damage games. And splitting tiers even more makes things complicated. Do you want to make a tier for people with a mix set and pulling people away from games? Besides, playing against skilled players is the only way to get better. There won't be much in this split tier. Unless its a pro who wants to farm some coins fast.

Yes. Well that should be dodge able even in smaller rooms running around so it's good. They also have an ability called Charge though, like Trojans. But if it's exactly like Trojans then they'll get blocked by enemies which would be good (rushing through them or pushing the enemies suddenly on you doesn't sound good).

I guess it could do that. But if more people use their energy to do those runs in clockworks instead of Vanaduke mission, then they'll just use their energy there and can't use that part of the energy on the mission. So I think it evens it out? And if the cr output is below Vanaduke mission that's fine too. Just so that the cr output is logical. The fiends levels are actually more challenging in some parts with Devilites, Trojans and Spookats coming at you. It just feels silly that it should be so much lower cr output and be more challenging in most parts compared to Vanaduke mission, and still be the same depth.

I wouldn't think it's that unnecessary, it could still help though. It does have a flaw with that, I guess I'm being way too optimistic. Yes splitting tiers even more wouldn't really be good. Tier for mix sets doesn't sound good and it's not what I intended. True, playing against skilled people is the way to get better. Many times though, I see that the gear is what carries them. That doesn't really sound like skill in gameplay.

Thanks for the responses so far! Glad to see people's opinions and interest.
