There are a few attention-mongering idiots who are spoiling the pleasure of the forums for the majority of players who use them. They're clearly visible with their multiple nonsense posts, some of which are just rude and really detract from the community. If you are not going to take any action against these players, then at least give us the ability to do so.

This idea will crash at the wall called "this is drupal, we know it can be improved but we wont do anything about it, since we use it everywhere despite users negative comments about forum".

Spiral Knights already has a system that called "ban". If you try to against the forum rule, I'm very sure you will get temporarily ban or permanently ban.

See this link for more info:

Btw, ignore is not a best solution.

Tell a GM about the mean person who was rude to you lately and they will do something about it. Besides this is a site where we are handling teens, not defending kids.

I agree with Apauses, ignore isnt the best. You can ignore them on your own. Like if you were mean to me, I would just ignore you on my own.

DAMN.

NO

this is a very dumb idea, sure theyre may be people who spew meme links and talk random crap, but thats kinda what makes the forums fun

this feature can get ABUSED because people like Lugiuru who gun down concepts with long paragraphs ( not as serious as he used to be but he still does bring up valid arguments), If I were to block all the players who guns down my concepts (they might just be plain out stupid) because I didnt agree with his or her OPINION on the matter then we'd have no post left on the forums.

I also wouldnt be able to see what somebody said ( I couldve been a good point) because I blocked them.

Lastly GM's are here for a reason if someone is verbaly harrasing you then send a report, GM's often delete post that have inapropriate language or content so you should be good.

If I remember correctly, there is already a community made script that lets you hide posts/topics made by people you select. Their posts will still be visible to others but you wont be able to see them.

As for your suggestion, ignoring is fine, if other people can still see the posts. Blocking would be abusable and shouldn't be implemented.

Edit: Here is the link to the ignore script's thread
