New Theme / Area Level Ideas

So someday in the future, OOO is going to release an update for the Core. Woo hoo. Then what?

Who else would like to see them expand beyond the worlds and themes we already have?
I'm going to talk about level maps and locations, but one in particular I have always though would be a nice addition would be an aquatic/ underwater themed area. Everything needs water, and while I do see a presence of water in Haven, I see no significant area of water.

A lot of the ocean goes unexplored, and it could be home to many new deep sea beasts and Gremlin activities.

Themes like freeze could introduce a frozen ocean, with hunks of floating ice bergs, or even fire theme could come into play with volcanic vents and erupting fissures.

What are gremlins doing under the ocean? Mining for other sources with vicious submersible constructs.

Some Ideas I had for enemies would have been as follows:

Beasts:
Sharks or perhaps Abyssal zone Viper Fish inspired
Piranhas that can attack in group formation

Undead:
Skeletal remains of fish
Zombie diver men / other knights that never returned

Slime:
I though there could be lots of sponge like slimes
Lichens that keep around dangerous underwater vents
Don't Slooms look a lot like sea slugs?

Fiend:
Kraken / Crustacean themes have always appeared as monsters in folk lore
Leviathan type creature that stalks its prey waiting for the right moment to strike

Gremlin:
There's so much we could do with gremlins underwater.
They have a lot of equipment and gear to survive in most other parts of the clockworks.

Construct:
I thought about submersible like constructs and gun puppies that shot torpedoes.

I'm sure there are plenty of other ideas for new levels. But I thought it would be nice to share some of my own just as a fun thought.
What else do you think could work as a new area?

this is a very nice start. +1

I've always liked the idea of an oceanic map, and I believe you have the start of something very glorious there. You have your framework for enemies, you have your setting and reason for it being there -- all I would say is that I a while back posted an idea that included a sea boss. If you search "bosses of darkness, sleep" you should probably find it. if you want, go ahead and use any idea from there to build up yours. other than that, my full support is behind you

>Dragaroth- I think there is a lot of potential in making new map areas. They would be just as memorable as any of the other stages there already are, and according to Luguiru's link, there are other people who think the same way. They also have some very good ideas that I didn't think about either. ^^

Of course there must be a small lake somewhere underground, but no vast oceans. Remember this is a pseudo-artificial planet full of biodomes, not something natural.
