So there's not a recipe for the Darkfang shield... Should they make a special opertunity to craft one in another DLC or make it a super duper rare recipe that can be found in Shadow Lairs O, o? Also should they make a 5 star version of the shield?
Darkfang shield
My guess is that it will eventually be a boss token item with a 5* recipe upgrade, like the blackened/CoA. It's the last of the rare drops still available in-game that hasn't been turned into something else (like the quicksilver); makes sense that they'd eventually work it into the gremlin plot line. Also, the only thing that can surpass the rage of the few collectors who have one when their prize becomes widely available: featuring said prize as part of a DLC...
Recipe? Even if its ultra rare, whoever gets it will become a millionaire and saturate the market with them.
Just 1 recipe needed to ruin whatever made it special. Unless whoever gets it wants to troll around.
Yeah, it happened with Quicksilver etc., but I think OOO is more sensitive to player's reactions now. Rage is bad for business.
What I'd like to see happen is a reskinned version of the Darkfang introduced as a token item, or at least a more common drop. (Or, even better, the Darkfang becomes a token item/common drop, but *current* Darkfangs get transformed into a renamed, shinier, more special version.) This would give the rest of us access to a pretty neat-looking shield while preserving the interests of the current lucky few.
I'd like to see it made more common. It should still stay rare as heck, but it should be findable within a reasonable amount of time. What is reasonable? Perhaps 2-3 months of searching gremlin stratums, if you do 1 stratum a day in T3. Thats about 4 levels a day, multiplied by 30 is 120 gremlin levels. That way it would be attainable, right now it is just absurdly rare to the point that people wanting one must either never get one, or must give up their life for it. Over all, its not too hard to get if its all thats left for you, it will take you a while, but it IS doable. I'd just like it to be a bit... more doable for the average knight.
As far as I know it already is a super duper rare drop, thats the only way to get it.
Edit- I see you meant the recipie, well I guess that would defeat the purpose of having the rare drop?
