The prices are completly random arent they? 2k difference between 4* and 3*, while 5* is 10 times higher?

This is a bad idea.
Then people will spend crowns to finish the 3* hall of heroes easily. Rich people who don't have enough energy with billions of crowns can finish the game faster. Trust me. It is true. People would be able to buy a gran faust which is very strong

I don't know what's funnier: that people think this would be at all useful, or that other people think this would be broken.
Benightz, you take the cake, though.:

They can already do this by buying them off the AH for less than twice the proposed price of renting.

P.S. to the OP: Why should renting a 0*-2* cost more than just buying it?
Craft or buy it if you want to use it.
Without any cap on how long the rent lasts or any means to prevent infinite renting, this is just an easy way to get higher rank equipment without working for the actual item.
This might be acceptable if every single item had a seven day rent time with no means of repeat renting, and with these prices:
If you think these are expensive compare the crown to CE prices with the current energy market prices and depot.
No UVs may be applied and the item is removed from your inventory upon expiration. They can still be leveled with heat but you will not be keeping the heat or the item when its duration expires. Rented equipment would be purchased from an NPC but is never tradable; no unbinding or interpersonal trading. No boss token items.
