Dementia/Hallucinate(Monster only)
When inflicted, several "faceless" creatures pop up at random near you and if you''re caught in their radius(similar to or on contact, they are able to cause dmg. The only way to avoid dmg is to run and dodge for the duration. The duration at it's highest is 15-20 seconds, the max of them that can pop up are 5. Phantoms can use this with normal attacks. There could also be a varied lost soul that can do it. The showings of this is blue fog and Question marks surounding them.

Chaff(Monster and Knight, affects only construct Monsters)
When inflicted, these can confuse enemies. By confuse, they affect targeting and slow down attack. An example is Rocket puppies losing the targeting properties they use, and retrodes losing their swipe tracking. Showings of this is a large sparkle aura around you(Aluminium strips).
With knights, projectiles lose some range, ASI decrease and fuzzyness on the screen.
And its strongest, it is for 3-6 seconds. In order to inflict it, you need a chaft grenade(Which are rare to find in construct areas, and also have finite respawn(Of 3) Gremlin Demos can inflict this with a shock stratum variation that uses this instead of shock.

Retaliate("PLAYER"only)
If a status enemy is hit my it's own status, fire on fire is an example the enemy will use a double attack of that status, basically, stun glitch reimplemented as a status. The showing of it will be a exclamation mark. It lasts how long the attack does. Lichen ones are also counted as this.

Fear(Monster Only)
When inflicted, player will lose all resistance and bonuses, and will run slightly faster. This lasts for 7-10 seconds and will decrease if in any candle light. As you've assumed from that is that this happens when hurt by Grimalkins. It is shown by a Swirl around players.

Chaff sounds odd.....

Even though I don't use AA, that is punishing those who really badly need it. When you are not using a mouse, then you can't aim without it. Also, the finite ammo thing doesn't sound right. Do you mean a phial that gives the status, which drops from gremlin demos?

Dementia sounds like something which is good for phantoms. Really, if the phantoms got that, then we could actually feel a tinge of fright when we hear their voices.

Gremlin demos can inflict it.

Though I should maybe think of adding a variation that appears in shock stratums, yet are chaff users....

I'll remove the Screw over AT.

The grenades only respawn three time to prevent abuse, or it can be like all others and is infinite.

Dementia, yes, definatley. I was going to add it, but I forgot ^_^.

I like this suggestion. I also think there could be statuses afflicting Knights depending on the minerals they carried based on the level. What I mean is, these statuses would be permanent until finishing the floor or switching to other type of mineral that wouldn't trigger an affliction.

Afflictions occur in levels made with those kind of minerals. Dungeon levels are excluded from this. So, exploring Clockworks and normal Missions gain a gimmick this way. The afflictions I thought of are:

1. Crimsonite : Fiery strength - Afflicted with the mineral of passion, anger and strength, the Knight will be knocked back when taking damage, and also will push back enemies with every single strike he gives with any weapon. Guns will also gain recoil, and ones that already have it will have even stronger recoil. Control your strength.

2. Moonstone : Overwhelming thoughts - Your psyche afflicted with the stimuli of the mineral of knowledge, the Knight is doubtful when taking action, so they will take half a second when having to move somewhere. Not only that, but Knights who move for a long time - 10 seconds - without resting to gather their thoughts will get truly overwhelmed by doubts of the possibilities and stop for about 3 seconds. So plan ahead.

3. Valestone : Life gathering - The mineral that gathers the essence of life steals away half of every recovery effect that you get. In shorter terms - you heal half of what you would while afflicted with this effect. Try not to get your own life essence taken away too much.

4. Luminite : Recklessness of the Knight - Subconsciously afflicting the Knight's mind, the mineral of faith and zeal makes it so that the Knight can't stop walking for half a second after they stop moving. Keep your mindset watchful and don't advance too bravely.

5. Dark Matter : Corruption - The mineral of chaos and nothingness afflicts your deepest parts of your being, and will make you suffer by not letting you attack randomly when you try to. Bash away, spam, and don't let the mineral take you away due to its influence! Not attacking during a 10 second period will make you lose control and do random actions during 5 seconds - but you won't use vials or other 1234 items.

So, when running a basic fiend strata, if you pick up Crimsonite or Dark Matter you will be afflicted with either Fiery strength or Corruption due to those being the Minerals that power up the place. If you pick up other colors after picking red or purple, the affliction will disappear.

Still, this would make the game harder and such... so I dunno if OOO would like such a thing. I mean, the whole suggestion. But from my part, +1 to these kind of "unique" effects from different sources.

But wouldn't it kinda Deter most players from picking them up in general if they wanted to use them?

Mineral statuses would seriously screw up the gate creation stuff. People would always pick up the least problematic minerals, unless they're dedicated to it... and that's not good because those people are few and far between because of how little you get for depositing minerals anyhow.
