Only make the shot explode if it hits an enemy. If not it just fades away like every other gun.
Possible fix for polaris
Will not change the fact that it is a wall with 2 or more people.
But then... how will I blast away at Grimalkins? ;o;
If you really, really think it needs a fix, a simpler solution would be to just limit it to a 2-clip, as right now it's OP in the sense that by 2clip firing, you can cover like 3 paths at any given time.
Or reduce the damage, as it's kinda sad that a 3-clip, 'splodey shock spread at 4* can outdps a 2-clip Storm Driver...
Brady, just for the sake of argument, can you post comparisons of the 4* Gigawatt vs. the Storm Driver? I'm somewhat interested in those figures, if only because I'm curious to see if you're accounting for potential ricochet factor, which is one of the things that make Alchemers much stronger than they appear number-wise.
With max damage, Storm does around 220 on construx. Giga does 210/250 (small/expanded). In a large group where the ricochets can spread out nicely it'll increase the overall dps of a group assault, but 1v1, the Giga massively outdps's the Storm, even with small pellets, purely because you can fire them off so much faster. Introduce a group to it and the expanded pellets hit multiple enemies, doing the same thing as ricochets would do, but with more damage, all whilst being shot at much greater firing rates. Charge attacks are the only reasonable way to kill groups quickly with the Driver, I find, and even then that's only better (in my experience) if the KB from Giga will cause more problems than not.
(I'm saying this on my experience of using both in FSC as well, altough couldn't tell you the numbers offhand. Just got those numbers by checking Machine Shop)
Sure but it will be fast moving.
Or extended range.
This may also kill the polaris.
Example:Someone is about to get shot then it disappears.
