Hi - I just lost like 400 Energy to a pumpkin king area. He decided he was going to Trick. That's never happened before - always got the treat option before. But he just started bouncing around. Avoided all my bullets - and Me - I could never get close enough to hit him. Millions of little pumkins spawned - they explode - more or less kill me in 1 hit and I'm 4 star gear - there are like 20 of them - if you kill them then nothing drops and you just get another spawn. . . . .

Is this right - or have I totally missed a game mechanic here? I just got WTF Pwned and it felt like there was nothing I could do???? Or is that what happens when you get the Trick option?

that's one of the things that can happen, either that or you get the ones that are normal zombies.

If you don't think you can kill him like that then avoid / shield as much as you can and he'll go away, you'll miss out on the candy though.

Or get some friends to help you, as you can get more candy if they invite you to their runs too.

Ye need specific gears to compete with the 'trick' if ye happen to get on with it.

Freezing the Punkin King give ye a chance of 5~8 seconds.
Charge attacks makes it easier.
Wear good shields, ye don't wanna lose to the punkin bombies.
Always gather 3 friends and fight together. It'll be easy too.

Cornering him

Having multiple people is a lot easier cause you and your friends can have "zones" and if he bounces into your zone you attack him
Or you could just corner him (literally) so he can't even bounce away. I've seen that done before

Hire your peeps!

Do not go against Pumpkin King alone. Get people to help you. PM your guild or friends, "I found a PK nest!"
If you solo, the King is gonna bounce away from you and every of his minions are going after YOU. a party of 3 or 4 spreaded out makes it a quick encounter. and you get mucho candiii!

I hate it when he says "trick" and its bombies. Here's a strategy that always works for me (nearly always), hope for "trick" and hope for "bombies", everytime I do that he says "treat" or says "trick" but its just normal zombies
Works for me at least XD

Well if u don't just go on another pc, tablet or smartphone and make an account you'll have to unlock 4-1 missions (no crafting needed)
Any way just open annotherwindow of sk put them in a party together
Now here's the helpful part leave ur alt on the party button and all the bomblings will mob him in the center then u have a chance to get the pk (if ur still having troUbles I suggest u get a flourish or antigua
