Sigh, now we may miss the Dark Harvest Festival. Wish there was a way to unbind steam, with problems like these Steam isn't worth it in regards to a Spiral Knights account.

Yeah. Let's NOT blame Steam when they obviously said that the problem is on their end. Let's just ignore them completely. Let's also ignore the fact that your computer most likely isn't up to snuff if it's having problems with a Java game.
